Nude Madonna Picture Could Fetch $10,000 At Auction

A nude photograph of Madonna is hitting the auction block. Why would the world care about another Madonna nude picture you may ask? The image was taken by famed fashion photographer Steven Meisel but never published. It was intended for her controversial 1992 book, Sex.

The 1990 photo will be going up for auction at Bonham’s in New York City next month, according to Fox News. They are expecting that by the time the gavel is laid down it will have gotten them more than 10,000.

Madonna was 32 when the photo was taken and it had her in one of her more Erotica looks. She had short blonde hair, long black eyelashes and dark black eye makeup.

The photo is of Madonna spread out over a silk bed sheet. Gladly there is a sheet placed strategically between her legs so that the photo is not completely obscene.

The photo has Madonna staring seductively into the lens while her sexy manicured nails are raising a cigarette to her lips.

As is Madonna’s style the whole book she released called Sex, was a coffee table picture book filled with provocative and explicit photos of the singer, all captured on film by Meisel.

Madonna’s star power carried the book far over its horrible critical reviews. The book sold more than 1.5 million copies in its first few week. Madonna seems to have a knack for knowing just how far to push the envelope to get massive media exposure without coming off as having gone too far.

It coincided with the release of her equally raunchy fifth studio album Erotica.
