Kate Middleton: Style Lookbook, ‘Zany’ Wimbledon Faces, And Battle Of The Flowing Locks

The Duchess of Cambridge has definitely continued to hold her title as the most fashionable royal since the birth of her little princess. This past week has been no exception after appearances at Wimbledon alongside Prince William, and let us not forget the lovely getup she wore to Charlotte’s recent christening. Kate is simply a showstopper on all occasions and one who is not afraid to recycle looks, no matter how much in the public eye she may be.

From Alexander McQueen to L.K. Bennett, Middleton was on point with her looks beginning with, of course, as the Toronto Sun notes, the “white Alexander McQueen dress coat and Jane Taylor hat” she wore to Princess Charlotte’s christening.

Paired with a hip set of Ray Bans, Middleton attended a match at Wimbledon while wearing a recycled, fire engine red L.K. Bennet dress that hardly allowed her to meld into the crowd. However, herself and Prince William seemed like it was their intention to stand out as the royal couple showcased some entertaining facial expressions while in attendance at the tennis tourney.

Will and Kate stole a large portion of the spotlight during their visit to the annual tournament and were sure to demonstrate just how much they enjoy each other’s company. Kate’s appearance in the striking red L.K. Bennet ensemble did wonders for the designer, seeing as it has since been reported that the piece has sold out completely. International Business Times shares about the good fortune Middleton has brought to the brand.

“L.K. Bennet is one of Middleton’s favorite designers. The 250-British pound ($385) Cayla design sold out fast as a result of the so-called Kate effect. She turned up the heat in the striking ensemble. The chic short sleeved dress ended just above her knees. The LK Bennett dress is listed on the brand’s website as ‘cardinal red’ and a ‘go-to dress for that special occasion.'”

If the attention to Kate Middleton’s dress worn at Wimbledon was not enough to fully steal the show, the runner-up for the spotlight went to her silky mane, which attempted to hog the focus of the court and has got a number of publications, including Us Weekly, offering a full out vote to readers as to who had the best blow-out at the tournament. The vote was narrowed down to two top contenders, Kate Middleton and the wife of Andy Murray, Ms. Kim Sears.

From flowing manes to fitted designer frocks, the ladies of Wimbledon, including Kate, get full points.
