Giuliana Rancic And Husband Bill Are Having A Baby

E! personality Guiliana Rancic announced on Monday that she is expecting a baby with husband Bill. The announcement comes just after Rancic successfully battled breast cancer. You may recall that in 2011 Rancic announced plans to undergo double mastectomy.

Rancic and her husband were having a hard time as they were attempting to conceive and has therefore decided to go with a gestational surrogate so they can still have a genetic match to their future child.

During their attempts to have a child naturally the couple were unsuccessful using IVF treatments and Guiliana suffered through a miscarriage.

Rancic tells her employer E! that the baby is due in the late summer. According to Giuliana:

“We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered.”

Giuliana Rancic isn’t the first celebrity to openly use a surrogate to have a baby. She joins Sarah Jessica Parker, Elton John, Neil Patrick Harris, Nicole Kidman and Robert De Nire, all who used surrogates to start or grow their family.

In Sarah Jessica Parker’s case her and husband Matthew Broderick used a surrogate for fear of her safety during pregnancy. Parker gave birth to a son then used a surrogate which gave her twins.

Since her fight with Cancer Giuliana has been busily talking about her battle and educating women on the need for regular check-ups.
