Random Acts Of Kindness: Two Men Pay For Strangers’ Groceries At Cincinnati Kroger [Video]

Random acts of kindness still exist!

Mike Lewis of Jesus Painter Ministries, and Rob Westerman of SNC Norwood Church decided to make strangers smile, so they headed to a Kroger grocery store in Cincinnati, Ohio, and paid for people’s groceries. According to My Fox Columbus, the guys teamed up for two hours, making tons of people really happy.

“As customers got ready to pay for their groceries, Westerman would walk up, put down money to pay the bill, then walk out of the store. Westerman… would go sit in his car until after he saw the person leave, so had no idea how people were reacting. Lewis was standing out of sight nearby, capturing the scenes and the reactions on camera. While some were just shocked, some were visibly moved, breaking down in tears.”

These random acts of kindness were compiled into a seven minute video which is now going viral on the web. According to Central Alabama News, Lewis and Westerman showed the video during a church service on July 5. They say that it brought tears to everyone’s eyes. The video has encouraged people to come up with more ideas for additional “giving” projects.

Giving back to others doesn’t have to cost money, either. Something as simple as holding a door open for someone pushing a baby stroller, or helping an elderly person cross the street can be considered a “random act of kindness.” As previously reported by the Inquisitr, footage of a restaurant employee helping an elderly man cross the street went viral in April. Check that out here.
