Novak Djokovic, Wife Jelena Ristic, And Their Incredible Year, Including Spot In 2015 Wimbledon Final

Novak Djokovic and wife Jelena Ristic have had the most incredible year.

The number one tennis player in the world just clinched a spot in Sunday’s 2015 Wimbledon final to defend his title again this year by beating France’s Richard Gasquet on Friday, which is icing on the cake of an unforgettable year for Novak Djokovic and his wife.

Novak Djokovic’s wife is drop-dead gorgeous and is almost as famous as her talented husband.

In a Twitter post, the long-time Serbian couple announced in April of 2014 that they were expecting their first child.

As reported by the Inquisitr, Dyokivic proposed to his longtime girlfriend soon after, and the couple were married when she was six months pregnant, a year ago today.

They again took to Twitter to share the joy when son Stefan was born in October.

Childhood sweethearts, Novak Djokovic and Jelena Ristic began dating in 2005. She has been a constant companion, cheering her man on at nearly every major tennis tournament over the years.

But who is Jelena Ristic?

According to Heavy.com, the former swimwear model now heads up the Novak Djokovic Foundation, which was established in 2007 by her husband to help disadvantaged children. In May, Ristic earned an award for her work with young people in Serbia.

According to the foundation’s About Us page, “NDF is the humanitarian foundation, founded by Novak Djokovic in 2007, with a goal to create a lasting change in the lives of children in need in Serbia. Our work takes us to socially underprivileged communities in Serbia, where we help children and respectively their families, to help themselves. We try to give them hope for future, offer them means and ways to get on the right path where they themselves can make a change in their life. Our motto is: BELIEVE IN THEIR DREAMS.”

The website continues, “Novak Djokovic Foundation believes that by supporting young children, we can change humanity for the better. Thanks to generous help of our donors, partners, friends and volunteers, NDF is successfully helping improve the lives of children in Serbia.”

In Sunday’s final, Novak Djokovic will face either Roger Federer or Andy Murray. His wife and son will surely be there to cheer on their man once again.
