Ariana Grande’s #Donutgate Helps Bring In Business For Wolfee Donuts [Report]

Ariana Grande’s #Donutgate fiasco has increased business for Wolfee Donuts. The Lake Elsinore, California donut shop where Ariana Grande licked and spit on the donuts has brought in more customers for the small business.

Joe Marin, owner of Wolfee Donuts, told TheWrap that business has “tripled” at his donut shop since Grande’s video of her donut-licking incident leaked onto the internet. Customers are swarming to Marin’s store, out of support. While business is booming, the shop has downgraded from an A to a B on by the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health.

According to a TMZ report on Thursday, Wolfee Donuts was told that the reason it didn’t pass inspection was due to “customers licking donuts incorrectly placed on the counter.” Marin is hoping that police will press charges against Grande. However, if the issue is food-borne related or if germs were transferred as part of the “licking” and “spitting” incidents, it could be reported as a crime.

Marin says that he’s still “furious” with Grande’s diva behavior. He’s also upset about how she treated both his employees and his donuts, and for her anti-American comments.

“She forgot that America buys your tickets, that’s why you’re famous.”

Marin watched the video of Ariana Grande’s donut-licking controversy out of curiosity when an employee told him that she was in his store. When he watched the video of the 22-year-old singer and her backup dancer, Marin, said: “I was like, ‘Whoa,’ you know?”

Not only did Ariana Grande lick the donuts, but she also spat on them as well. “She licked the donuts with the frosting; she was spitting on the white powder” donuts, according to Marin. He immediately sent the video to TMZ and to the sheriff’s department.

Since #donutgate has erupted, Ariana Grande has publicly apologized a few times on social media for her anti-American comments. She has not yet apologized to Wolfee Donuts or for licking the donuts in the first place. Marin has had enough of Grande’s diva reputation. He also doesn’t believe her recent statements about being “proud to be an American” and to drop out of a MLB All-Star Concert for “emergency oral surgery.” Marin only thinks that Grande is apologizing because she “got caught” in the act.

“She’s saying the statement because she basically got caught.”

Most recently, Ariana Grande released a black-and-white YouTube video, apologizing to her fans for her actions and for her recent statements. She said that she “was too busy preaching about my issues with the food industry.” Grande also said she could have articulated herself better in her previous statements.
