Mark Cuban In Twitter War With ESPN

Mark Cuban has now moved his argument from DeAndre Jordan to Chris Broussard of ESPN. Over the last day, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has engaged in a Twitter war with Broussard over what happened or didn’t happen with the Mavericks deal offered to NBA star DeAndre Jordan, who is now going to play with the Los Angeles Clippers. As with many discussions with Mark Cuban, this one has gone from civil to nasty.

According to the Inquisitr, Mavs owner Mark Cuban was miffed that Jordan decided not to honor their verbal commitment and never called him. On Wednesday night, Broussard tweeted that Mark Cuban was desperate to get in touch with Jordan, saying that he was begging Jordan’s family for the address to Jordan’s home.

Mark Cuban, who is known to fly off the handle, tweeted in response, calling Broussard out, saying “that’s the dumbest s**t I’ve ever heard. If you had any ethics, u would msg me and I will give u his address.”

Broussard responded by tweeting that he stands by his sources and believes that if Cuban had the address, he would have gone to Jordan’s house rather than madly texting Jordan’s friends and family.

Broussard upped the ante by tweeting a question that told Mark Cuban he knew that the Mavs owner flew to Houston that night. He almost dared Cuban to deny it, to which Cuban responded that Broussard had been lied to.

Of course, Cuban responded by tweeting that if Broussard posted any proof, Cuban would donate $100k to the charity of the ESPN reporter’s choosing. As of this posting, Broussard has not responded, but he is unlikely to give up any of his sources.

Though DeAndre Jordan has no legal obligation to let Mark Cuban know he was not going to honor their verbal agreement for $80 million over four years, Cuban is still steaming that Jordan lied to him and allegedly told him that he [Jordan] was on a date, when instead, he was meeting with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Mark Cuban now admits that he went to Jordan’s house Wednesday night when he got suspicious that Jordan was going to go back on his word.

“There was no one home. So I texted him saying that I was there. I know something is up. Let’s talk. He texted me that he was on a date.

“I told him to have fun. I wasn’t in a rush, that I was happy to come by there and say hi or if he wanted to make the date fun, take them to Dallas for a night out.

“He didn’t respond.”

Such is Cuban’s account of the timeframe that passed as Jordan made a deal with the Clippers. As with any controversy involving Mark Cuban, he intends to have the last word.

Do you think Jordan had an obligation to tell Mark Cuban that he was meeting with the Clippers?
