‘COD: Black Ops 3’ Zombies Features 1940s-Styled Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, And Ron Perlman

Treyarch and Activision revealed the all new Zombies adventure coming with Call of Duty: Black Ops III during a San Diego Comic-Con panel on Thursday. In a new twist, the survival co-op mode is going with a ’40s film-noir feel and is bringing stars Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, Ron Perlman, and Robert Picardo along for the ride on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Shadows of Evil is the official title for the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies experience. It will launch with the game on November 9 with new episodes coming in Black Ops III DLC expansions.

Here is the official description from the Activision press release.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III: Zombies – Shadows of Evil drops players into a recognizable yet terrifyingly unfamiliar world, as they uncover the secrets and challenges laid out for them by a shadowy figure, who holds their fate in his hands. Set in a 1940s film-noir era, Shadows of Evil introduces four unwitting characters – The Magician, The Femme-Fatale, The Cop and The Boxer – into an unraveling experience masterminded by the mysterious Shadow Man. Featuring voices and likenesses, the characters are played by Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park, Independence Day), Heather Graham (The Hangover 1-3, Californication), Neil McDonough (Captain America: The First Avenger, Band of Brothers), Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy, Hellboy) and Robert Picardo (Star Trek: Voyager, Stargate SG-1).

A location hasn’t been named yet, but the trailer captures the look and feel of a 1940s Chicago full of nightclubs and back alleys. Treyarch’s trademark brand of zombie craziness creeps in though with a gumball machine dispensing candy that gives players power-ups like Goldblum’s magician suddenly growing magic tentacles.

New weapon pickups were also spotted in the trailer. In addition to traditional automatic weapons, a rocket-powered shield was shown that can be used to plow through enemies. I didn’t spot Tommy Gun, however. This 1940s-themed Zombies romp screams for one.
