NeNe Leakes’ Departure Could Bring Back Lisa Wu: ‘I Would Never Say Never’

NeNe Leakes started filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta at the very beginning and she has become a big part of the show. A few weeks ago, Leakes made the announcement that she was leaving the entire franchise behind to pursue other ventures. Since NeNe is leaving, producers are trying to figure out who else to bring on to complete the cast.

Since NeNe Leakes is leaving, many fans would like to see former housewives return. Bethenny Frankel has returned to The Real Housewives of New York, so fans would love to see Sheree Whitfield, Lisa Wu, or DeShawn Snow return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

According to a new Radar Online report, NeNe Leakes could be opening up the doors for former Real Housewives stars to return to the show. Leakes announced that she was leaving a few weeks ago to focus on other ventures. Now, people are wondering who will replace Leakes, and Lisa Wu is now speaking out about her possibly returning.

“There was a time when I was on Housewives there was no altercations … nothing physical,” Wu revealed about how the show has changed, adding, “The show, it definitely has changed. Some people will just do anything for television. it’s unfortunate … I guess that’s their truth.”

Even though Lisa dropped out of the show after the second season, she remained close friends with NeNe Leakes. NeNe kept filming and has never really mentioned her former co-star. Even though Leakes has lost many friends over the years on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, she continues to stay in touch with Lisa. And Wu predicted that NeNe would leave the show this year.

“You have NeNe, you have all these personalities and she’s a bit tired. You can see that she just shuts things down … She doesn’t even want to do it, I think she’s a little tired of it,” Wu says, adding, “A lot of people come for NeNe. I don’t know if that’s a target when they go in.”

As for Wu, she would need to think about it. According to the Inquisitr, Cynthia Bailey would love to see some fresh faces on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but Lisa thinks there is too much pressure to perform.

“There’s just so much expected of the housewives. People expect the drama, and if they don’t get it, I think viewers are like oh, it’s boring, it’s boring, she’s boring. So I think people feel the need to perform,” she said, adding about returning, “I would never say never.”
