Tony Moreno: Man Taunted Wife Before Killing Their 7-Month-Old Son, Police Report Shows

Tony Moreno sent a string of text messages to the mother of his child taunting her and warning that he would kill both himself and the 7-month-old boy, Aaden, police records released on Wednesday show.

Tony is accused of throwing his young son from a 120-feet from a bridge into the Connecticut River, killing the boy. Tony then also tried to jump but was fished out of the water after the unsuccessful suicide attempt.

Court documents released Wednesday shed new light on the disturbing murder, showing Tony Moreno as an angry and seemingly vengeful man. The documents included a long text message exchange between Tony and Adrianne in which Tony tells her about his plans to kill the baby.

The couple had been having troubles for months. Adrianne accused Tony of pushing her from a bed, causing her to break her ankle. She also accused him of abandoning Aaden, leaving him alone on a bed.

The couple worked out a custody arrangement, but last week Tony texted Adrianne telling her that he would not be bringing Aaden back to her.

The text messages (which show Adrianne as A and Tony as T), show Tony threatening to kill Aaden.

Here is the entire exchange (via Fox CT):

11:18 T to A: I really need to talk to you
11:21 A to T: I was trying to talk to my friend. She just broke up with her boyfriend and wanted to talk to me Sorry I’m trying to be a good friend
11:21 T to A: Well I’m sorry there was a problem regarding our son
11:22 A to T: What’s going on.

11:23 A to T: Why didn’t you say that instead of saying I need to talk to you.
11:23 T to A: Clearly nothing that matters to you. And why would I say I NEED to talk to you if it wasn’t important

That was not the last message Tony sent, the Hartford Courant noted. Police say he also called his mother and told her to collect a phone that had pictures of the boy. Tony also told her “just tell everyone I’m sorry.”

Tony Moreno is charged with first-degree murder for the death of his son Aaden.
