WWE News: Brock Lesnar Set To Lose To Seth Rollins At ‘WWE Battleground’?

WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar made his return to WWE recently, but he has shown glimpses of not being the beast we’ve seen him as in the past. This past week, though, Lesnar has returned to his beast form by destroying three young men in Japan and most recently, a new car — possibly even a child who was watching the horror take place. The child did not press charges, possibly out of fear that Lesnar would find him and finish the job. We don’t know what is going through his mind!

What we do know is that Brock Lesnar will go one on one with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at WWE Battleground in a couple weeks. We have heard for some time now that Rollins is set to get his reckoning at Battleground. Potential attempted murder charges were set to arise. This is still set to occur — however, that does not mean that the World Title will change hands at the event.

The idea going in is for Rollins to get hurt a great deal. The problem is that WWE does not want to put the WWE Title back on The Beast, because it is thought that he would have to lose it before he left again. So there is a big chance that Lesnar won’t walk away champion at Battleground.

According to Cageside Seats, we should not be surprised if Lesnar loses at Battleground. Even if he does not, we shouldn’t be shocked that the title doesn’t change hands. Since the title match is not a “no disqualification” match, it stands to reason that Lesnar could get DQed or Rollins could. Both instances, Rollins keeps his title. Since Lesnar did have his rematch, he would not have to get another title match at any point. This is a good way to write Lesnar out of the title picture and into another.

It allows WWE to keep Lesnar in a strong storyline where he could come out on top, but he does not have to be in the WWE World Title picture all of the time. The problem is that Brock Lesnar is one of the most over babyfaces WWE has had in some time, so it would be smart to put the WWE World Title back on him. However, if that is not in the plans, the only way to get him out of title contention would be to underhandedly take him out of it. It is the only real way it can be done where it makes sense — even though that is crazy in concept.
