Debra Messing: Jeremy Piven Was The Worst ‘Will & Grace’ Guest According To Messing

On Watch What Happens Live, the question of who was the best and worst guest stars on Will & Grace was asked by a caller to Debra Messing. Jeremy Piven was given the title of the worst guest star by Messing.

“You know who, at the time, I wasn’t a fan of? Jeremy Piven.”

In season 3 of Will & Grace, Debra Messing and Jeremy Piven shared an episode together. Jeremey Piven played Messing’s ex-boyfriend. In the episode, Piven’s character asked Messing’s character to join him in a threesome. She could not go through with it in the episode. During the season 3 episode, the two had to kiss, which is where the animosity for Jeremy Piven comes from. According to Debra Messing, Jeremy Piven went too deep with his tongue during the kiss.

“You know, I had to kiss a lot of boys on that show and we were rehearsing, and the very first day of rehearsal, he shoved his tongue all the way down to my heart.”

Messing also dished on the interaction between her and Piven when she was not into his kissing style.

“I was just like, ‘Whoa!’ He goes, ‘Yeah, yeah,’ He was like, ‘That’s it, I’m in.’ I was like, ‘You know, this is comedy. We don’t really go that deep.’ And every time he went for it.”

Apparently, Jeremy Piven wanted to thoroughly explore the esophagus of Messing.

As for her favorite co-stars, Messing quickly said that Harry Connick Jr. was her favorite.

Will & Grace aired from 1998 to 2006. The comedy show broke down barriers for the era that it was in by having an openly gay character star on a primetime network show.

Currently, Debra Messing stars on NBC’s police procedural comedy-drama The Mysteries of Laura. On May 8, 2015, NBC renewed the series for a second season of 13 episodes. Throughout her career, Messing has been nominated for multiple awards. She has won a Screen Actors Guild Award twice, a TV Guide Award, a Satelite Award, a Gracie Allen Award, and an Emmy Award.
