Jared From Subway Allegedly Hosted Black Market Porn Rentals From His College Dorm

The reputation of Subway spokesman Jared Fogle has been permanently tarnished this week after the FBI raided his home and reportedly found evidence of child pornography. However, the disturbing porn habits of Jared Fogle go much further back into his history — back when he was still famously overweight.

According to Gawker, when Jared Fogle was attending Indiana University, he used his college dorm room as a library for black market porn videos. Actually, it was less of a library and more of a business. Jared Fogle would rent out pornographic videos to classmates for a dollar per day. And apparently, the black market porn business was booming.

“[Jared] Fogle ran a very successful pornography rental company out of his bedroom,” Michelle Collins wrote for Best Week Ever in 2007. “His porn collection was vast and extensive, and Fogle took his business pretty seriously. A video would run a patron a dollar a day (cheap!), and people would come from all over to take advantage of the deal. Needless to say, Jared had enough porn to keep his customers happy.”

If this isn’t enough to destroy the public’s perception of Jared Fogle, Collins claims he lost so much weight eating Subway sandwiches as a direct result of the porn rental service he ran. A Subway location opened in the same building of Jared Fogle’s dorm building, making it a short trip from his place of “work.” Collins claims he only became addicted to Subway sandwiches because he was too lazy to venture far from his porn library.

“It was the closest fast food available! Just imagine how different our lives would be if an Arby’s had opened up there instead?”

It may be difficult to confirm Michelle Collins’ story, but Jared Fogle’s history with porn seems more viable now that he’s been busted for child pornography. Either way, Subway’s brand has been damaged by association with their slim spokesman, and they have understandably cut ties with the public figure — at least temporarily. But some believe that Subway should have dropped Jared Fogle a long time ago. This porn disaster certainly could have been avoided.

According to NBC, Jared Fogle has so far not been arrested or charged with any crimes.

“Jared has been cooperating, and continues to cooperate, with law enforcement in their investigation of unspecified charges and looks forward to its conclusion,” said Ron Elberger, the lawyer for Jared Fogle.
