Ben Affleck’s ‘Serious Feelings’ For Margot Robbie Said To Be The Reason For His Divorce

Now that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s decision to divorce has been made public, the rumor mills are churning out reasons why it happened.

One rumor pinpoints Margot Robbie, and Affleck’s longstanding crush on her, as the reason for the divorce.

The rumors started almost immediately once the Batman star and his wife of ten years announced their divorce. Reports say that Affleck has had a big crush on the 25-year-old actress ever since he saw her titillating performance in The Wolf of Wall Street. These feelings allegedly deepened when the two worked together on Suicide Squad.

The father of three has had a long history of dating his co-stars. He starred with Jennifer Garner in two films, Pearl Harbor and Daredevil. There’s also his infamous film Gigli with then-flame Jennifer Lopez.

However, sources close to Affleck quickly slammed the book on those rumors and said they were “simply not true.”

“Ben barely spent any time with Margot,” the source explained.

Plus, Suicide Squad’s Harley Quinn is still “happily” involved with her boyfriend, assistant director Tom Ackerley.

Of course, that was just one of several rumors linking Affleck to other women. There have also been whispers of a hook-up between the Argo director and his ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez.

The two ended their romance more than a decade ago, but sources say they have already rekindled that particular flame.

JLo is confirmed to be back with on-again, off-again boyfriend Casper Smart but that doesn’t seem to mean much for one source.

This particular source was brazen enough to compare this version of Bennifer to Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor and stated that “it’s inevitable they will get together again at some point.”

“They were pretty flirty at the Oscars and have stayed in touch via email,” the source said. “Jennifer Garner never liked it.”

Realistically speaking, it doesn’t appear that Affleck is hooking up with anybody yet, nor that he is in a hurry to do so.

As previously reported, the estranged couple is serious about putting their family first and doing what’s best for their children – nine-year-old Violet, six-year-old Seraphina, and 3-year-old Samuel.

In their joint statement, Affleck and Garner said that despite their decision to divorce, they are going “forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time.”

To that end, Affleck and Garner jetted to the Bahamas to spend time with their children and help minimize the impact of their decision.
