‘Once Upon A Time’ Spoilers: Fans Need To ‘Prepare Themselves’ For The Dark Swan

Once Upon A Time Season 5 will premiere on ABC in September, and fans are receiving more teasers about the drama to come on the series following the game-changing season finale.

Emma is now The Dark One.

This is definitely a huge change for the series. The Season 5 premiere is titled “The Dark Swan.” Fans were given their first look at Jennifer Morrison and her new look as Emma Swan last week.

It is definitely a big change for the savior. Fans will learn even more about the season ahead at Comic Con later this week. Previous Once Upon A Time spoilers shared by the Inquisitr teased the casting of Merlin and other characters connected to him. The first poster for Once Upon A Time Season 5 was shared by Spoiler TV, and it focuses entirely on Emma.

Fans that head to Comic Con will see the poster on the side of one of the buildings in San Diego. Spoiler TV shared a fan tweet of the poster being put up.

Emma Swan as The Dark Swan will not be the same as Rumplestiltskin’s The Dark One. Christian Today shared some of the recent comments made by Edward Kitsis in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. He teased a bit about the new Emma Swan.

“Every part of her is fighting her dark urges. What happens when [the darkness] mixes with the lightest magic of all, and will Emma have the strength to fight it? Becoming the Dark One allows you to have the freedom to have no inhibitions. We are going to be exploring love and what happens when you use it as a weapon and what are the things that it makes you do. In the past, we’ve said love is the most powerful magic of all. It makes you do many things you normally wouldn’t think you would.”

Kitsis went on to tease that the Season 5 quest to find Merlin is being done to free Emma from her new existence. Kitsis also talks about love, and Emma did ask Hook to save her before she sacrificed herself at the end of the Once Upon A Time Season 4 finale. Will he save her? On the other hand, will an Emma Swan without inhibitions drag Hook back to his dark nature?

The cast will soon head back to work, and Josh Dallas shared a small teaser about the Once Upon A Time season premiere on his Twitter recently.

It does sound like big things are coming to Once Upon A Time. Season 5 will premiere on September 27 on ABC.
