Ubisoft Brings Victorian London To Comic-Con With ‘Assassin’s Creed’ Experience

Ubisoft is bringing Assassin’s Creed Syndicate to life at Comic-Con International: San Diego with the Assassin’s Creed Experience just outside of the convention center on the Martin Luther King Jr. Promenade at Harbor Drive. It marks the franchise’s second showing at the convention, with the immersive display opening from July 9 through July 12, 2015.

As depicted in the above announcement trailer, the Assassin’s Creed Experience is decked out in proper Victorian London fashion featuring characters in period costumes, a Big Ben replica, and plenty of British flags. The San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) display is not just for show, as convention goers are invited to dive into a Ninja Warrior-esque obstacle course that includes challenges like the 25-foot “Leap of Faith.” New to the experience this year is an overhead glider obstacle.

Guys might want to consider holding off on shaving before the con if they’re itching to get a trim like Assassin’s Creed Syndicate‘s leading gentleman, Jacob. Next door to the obstacle course action is the Schick Hydro Underground, where professional barbers are on hand to give out stylish, custom shaves for free, courtesy of Ubisoft.

Anyone who decides to pre-order Assassin’s Creed Syndicate at the show gets The Rooks Initiation Kit pre-order bonus. Details on what this kit will contain, and whether it is physical or digital, is not yet clear. According to the official UbiBlog, the kit contains “a supply of everything you’ll need to become a member of the Rooks and liberate London from the Templars.”

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is not the only title from Ubisoft to get some love in the form of SDCC festivities. The Siege Games for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege are scheduled to kick off, as well. Over at the Xbox Lounge in the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel, gamers get to go hands-on with the other Tom Clancy title in the works, The Division. The demo is scheduled to include the Dark Zone multiplayer mode that touts suspenseful encounters and impressive loot.

Those who’ve attended SDCC know how tough it can be to get tickets and accommodations. If you missed out on the opportunity this year, Ubisoft is hooking up one lucky fan with an expenses-paid trip to the sold-out event. The official blog gives all the details, plus tips on how convention goers with tickets can register for an Assassin’s Creed Experience fast pass.

“If you don’t have a pass for Comic-Con and are still hoping to score one, we’ve extended our trip sweepstakes through July 5. Register for the free Join the Family rewards program between now and then and get as many entries in as you can. If you are already attending, you can go to that rewards site and register to skip the line altogether and jump straight to the front.”
