Selena Gomez, Katy Perry: Do The Singers Have ‘Bad Blood’ With Each Other?

Selena Gomez may have appeared in Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video, but that doesn’t mean she hates Katy Perry.

In her new interview with New Zealand’s The Edge Afternoons, Gomez was asked if the rumors about her calling Perry to tell the “Dark Horse” singer that she’s portraying her in the music video. Gomez quickly quashed the reports that claimed she also had “Bad Blood” with Perry.

“That’s false, I love Katy. I just talked to her. She’s amazing. But I didn’t talk about that, but I just talked to her. She’s awesome.”

Maybe the singers don’t have “Bad Blood” after all. Last month, it was reported that Selena Gomez and Katy Perry were spotted singing karaoke with Miley Cyrus. The former Disney stars were spotted singing karaoke with Katy at designer Markus Molinari’s birthday party, according to a previous report in Page Six. The trio sange “Don’t Stop Believin’ ” by Journey. It’s safe to say that Selena and Katy’s latest sighting with Miley is just a rumor, since there’s no video footage of the alleged incident.

After Swift premiered her music video at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, fans claimed that Gomez’s character, Arsyn, resembled Perry, right down to the raven haircut and blunt bangs. Gomez also played Swift’s archenemy in the new music video.

In her recent interview with Radio.com, Selena says that she tries to become friends with all women in the industry. She learned that it’s important for female artists to support each other.

“When you get older you realize there are certain things you can’t control. There’s jealousy or competition, people comparing each other. It just starts getting vicious. Obviously guys don’t help the situation, whatsoever. It sucks a little. But all I can do is find those girls who understand. Whether they’re in the business or out of the business, I have a good mix of both. You just have to know who you are. I support every woman, even if they don’t support me. I still support them.”

Gomez not only cleared up those rumors about Katy Perry, but also about her alleged pregnancy and relationship with Zedd. The “Good For You” singer also addressed how she deals with the over-the-top tabloid rumors.

“I think it’s going to always happen but at the end of the day people see it. So if people were to say, ‘Hey she’s pregnant,’ well they are going to see in nine months that I’m not.”

Gomez also addressed Diplo’s remarks about her relationship with Zedd. In a previous interview, the DJ and producer said that German DJ Zedd had a “fake relationship with Selena Gomez, all the things to sell records took away from the music.”

Selena said that she spoke to Diplo and he admitted that his comment was “just a joke.”

“First off, it’s very interesting that Diplo would think he knew about my personal life, but he doesn’t. I adore Anton [Zedd] a lot and I definitely had a thing with him, which was nice.”

Selena Gomez and Zedd released their single “I Want You To Know” a few months ago. Gomez previously revealed that they’ll be collaborating on more music for her new album. “Zeddlena” fans will be happy to hear the news about their musical reunion.
