Modern Warfare 3 ‘Content Collection #1’ Out Now On PlayStation Network

PlayStation 3 users without a Call of Duty Elite subscription have been waiting their turn at getting Modern Warfare 3‘s first content pack, but the wait is now over.

Along with today’s regular PlayStation Store update, Modern Warfare 3 ‘Content Collection #1’ was finally added to the service. The first bundle of Modern Warfare 3 DLC for non-Elite subscribers will set you back $14.99.

In case you’ve managed to forget just what you’ll be getting out of the first Modern Warfare 3 content pack, the bundle of DLC will include for new maps for survival mode (verwatch, Liberation, Piazza and Black Box), and two Spec-Ops missions, Black Ice and Negotiator.

To celebrate the launch, Activision community manager Dan Amrich confirmed that a double XP event will be kicking off this weekend. If you don’t plan on picking up the map pack, don’t worry–Amrich says that the event will apply to all players throughout all modes, regardless of whether or not the player purchased the DLC. So, if you need to get your prestige on, this weekend is the time to do it.
