Britney Spears’ Mom Busts A Move To Her Daughter’s Smash Hit ‘Toxic’ [Video]

Who knew that Britney Spears’ mom Lynne had a freak flag? But there it was, all unfurled and flying for the entire planet to see, when Britney’s sis Jamie Lynn posted a video of their mom rocking out on Instagram earlier today. The short clip shows 60-year-old Lynne Spears busting a move while parked in her Mercedes as Britney’s 2003 tune “Toxic” plays on the car stereo.

Although their destination wasn’t clear from the first post, a couple of hours later, Jamie Lynn posted again, indicating she had been shopping at some outlet stores.

The lighthearted escapade made its rounds on entertainment web sites with writers hailing Lynne’s “sweet moves.” Entertainment Tonight lauded the clip of Britney’s dancing mom as “the best thing you’ll see all day.” E! Online called it “hilarious” and celebrity news repository Celebuzz summed it up in three succinct syllables, describing the scene as “everything.”

Although the Spears matriarch is all smiles, Britney has endured a rough spot or two over the course of recent weeks. As previously reported by Inquisitr, the songstress recently split with longtime beau Charlie Ebersol, subsequently purging his image from her Instagram archive. Just a few months prior, Brit discussed the prospect of marriage with People Magazine, saying she’d love to tie the knot again someday. Sadly, Charlie wasn’t the one.

Britney Spears has also been the subject of some intrigue on social media, with some fans taking umbrage to recent public comments by Iggy Azalea regarding the divas’ collaboration on the song “Pretty Girls.” The song didn’t perform as well as anticipated on the Billboard charts, and Azalea seems to have blamed the Spears camp for dropping the ball this time around. Things got a little dicey when Britney appeared to fire back at Iggy with a tweet that ended with the hashtag #YouWantAPieceOfMe. For her part, Azalea denies having any personal beef with Britney. The Austrailian rapper blamed the media for much of the scrum, blasting the “sexist” coverage of their public dust-up.

Just like regular folks who punch a time clock and carry lunch to work in a brown paper sack, it appears as though the everyday lives of pop icons and their families are fraught with peaks and valleys. Thank goodness for the simple things in life that make us smile, like a catchy Britney Spears song on the radio, a mid-week trip to the mall, and the occasional dancing mom.
