WWE News: WWE Officials Upset Over Bad ‘WWE Raw’ Ratings On Monday?

WWE’s ratings haven’t lived up to the standard the late-90s and early-2000s. Plain and simple, instead of garnering ratings in the 3.0 realm, WWE Raw just received the second-lowest rating for a non-holiday show since 1997. For those that watched WWE programming back then, it was a low period for pro wrestling in general. Until the Attitude Era began, WWE didn’t find huge success for a few years prior.

If WWE Raw wasn’t the only show getting poor ratings, Tough Enoughisn’t performing well either. Although the rejuvenation of the reality show is only two weeks old, it’s ratings are not coming in strong either.

The big question is, will the WWE respond to the poor ratings? Luckily for fans, they actually listen and respond. It appears that WWE will be reacting to WWE Raw’s faults the past few weeks. According to Cageside Seats, Monday Night Rawmay appear differently next week than the past few weeks.

“Not surprisingly, WWE is upset over the ratings for this week’s episode of Raw, according to PW Insider. We may get that panic move next week after all.”

What could the WWE do to bolster the ratings? Having the Authority return to WWE television, which is rumored for next week’s episode, is one thing that is rumored right now. Despite fans not liking Triple H or Stephanie McMahon, they do bring in viewers to the program. Whenever the Authority shows up on TV, WWE fans want to know what happens.

Their feud with Brock Lesnar is intriguing to say the least, and whatever takes place at Beast in the East will also provide for another storyline moving forward. Seth Rollins is rumored to lose the WWE World Heavyweight championship to Brock Lesnar at WWE Battleground. From there, Lesnar and Rollins will likely go their separate ways.

Rollins may face Triple H at SummerSlam while Lesnar looks for an opponent. At the moment, the only two heels are Sheamus and Bray Wyatt. While Wyatt isn’t close to the WWE title picture, Sheamus may be cashing in early. It all comes back to the Authority being best for business.

Even though the catchphrase gets overused and worn out, it works for the WWE’s top faction right now. Eventually, the Authority will diminish and there won’t be a top group running the show. For now, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon must be on WWE television for ratings to improve. Without them, well, the results speak for themselves.
