TNA News: Global Force Wrestling Signs Current TNA Top Star And Former World Champion

The mass exodus of big-time talent from TNA Impact Wrestling is continuing and it really doesn’t look good for the company. Now, another former champion has not only left TNA, but signed directly with Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling. Bobby Roode will be wrestling in the title tournament for GFW, and unless an invasion angle is really happening, it doesn’t look good for TNA.

After last night’s episode of Impact Wrestling, Jeff Jarrett appeared again and hyped up Global Force Wrestling like you wouldn’t believe. It was then that he revealed a huge announcement that honestly was one of the biggest shockers yet.

It was announced that two-time TNA World Champion Bobby Roode had signed with Global Force Wrestling and would be involved in the company’s tournament to crown its first world champion.

Along with the picture showing the signing of Bobby Roode to GFW, the company’s official Twitter posted a video to hammer it home. It has Roode talking about going to Las Vegas for the television tapings later this month and being in the tournament.

Before yesterday’s Impact Wrestling, GFW had been teasing a major announcement for the last day or so. After initial word, it was revealed it would be a major roster addition that no one would see coming.

This was certainly something that matched everything they said and it is a huge blow to TNA that could spell doom for the company. Throw on top of that the fact that Magnus ended up signing with Global Force Wrestling as well, and this “invasion” rumor is seeming less and less likely.

In a recent interview, Magnus also said that he felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of his shoulders with his departure from TNA. If this were an angle of some kind, it would seem odd for him to sort of bash the company.

It also doesn’t look as if all the big returns that happened recently will be able to help either. Matt Morgan returned right before Slammiversary and even had a big match on the Pay-Per-View, but he isn’t coming out of retirement. Morgan said it was a one-time thing so his kid could see him wrestle.

The losses of Magnus, James Storm, Low Ki, Austin Aries, Gunner, Mickie James, and others is huge for TNA. Now, losing Bobby Roode just adds to that huge downfall for the company and speaks well for Global Force Wrestling. Only now, TNA is falling further and further without slowing down.
