Bobbi Kristina Brown: Best Friend Reveals Disturbing Year Of Domestic Abuse And Fear

The secret life of Bobbi Kristina Brown is increasingly emerging after the young reality star was sent to hospice last week. One of her best friends, Alex Reid, recently opened up about the secrets she swore to keep, hoping to shed light on the January 31 incident that left Bobbi Kristina barely hanging on to life.

E! News reports that Reid, of California, spoke to Bobbi Kristina just three weeks before she was found comatose in her bathtub. The 22-year-old called Reid while hiding inside a closet, scared and shaken up after Nick Gordon, 26, reportedly struck her.

“She was sobbing. Nick had hit her and she was scared. She was very upset. She didn’t know what to do. It was as if, she didn’t have anyone else to turn to. It was heartbreaking.”

Reid states that she never spoke up before because Bobbi Kristina pleaded with her to keep it a secret. Although Reid was sworn to secrecy, she hopes that sharing what she knows will help with the ongoing investigation into what happened the day Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious.

“I love her. I would never have betrayed her and spoken out before now. But as she lies there, I feel there is no one else to speak on her behalf. I feel like I have to be a voice for her now.”

Although Reid never saw the physical abuse first-hand, she indicates that Bobbi Kristina would use FaceTime, a cellphone feature that allows video conference, to show her fresh bruises after Gordon hit her.

“I never witnessed anything…she would FaceTime me every time she was distraught, when something has just happened or show me a bruise.”

Gordon, who is currently living in Florida with his mother, was recently hit with a civil lawsuit, accusing him of physical abuse and theft. He hasn’t commented on the issue, but he lawyered up recently, retaining the services of Jose Baez, the attorney well-known for winning an acquittal for Casey Anthony.

The Marriage Was a Sham

Last year, Gordon spread word that he married Bobbi Kristina, yet Reid states it was an act done for the sake of trying to control Bobbi’s inheritance and preserve the late Whitney Houston’s fortune.

“That was why they told people they were married. They put on a united front.”

However, the front backfired when Gordon allegedly began controlling Bobbi Kristina’s purchases. He reportedly banned her from spending her own money without consulting him first, says an undisclosed source.

“In the end, Krissi would talk about how Nick had access to all the credit cards.”

Meanwhile, Bobbi Kristina’s last text messages recently surfaced. It seems as if she was trying to break away from the Nick, and her texts, sent just one night before January 31, reveals that she was desperately reaching out for help.

“Yeah I just seriously don’t know what to do about him. You know how he is. I care about him but I’m so sick of the fighting and him telling me what I can and can’t do. Plus what I found out … I’m devastated … I need my BFF baby love.”

Over the past year, although Reid is uncertain of exactly when it started, Gordon reportedly threw Bobbi Kristina against the wall, hit her in the face several times, pulled her hair, and knocked out some of her teeth.

Bobbi Kristina Brown remains at Peachtree Christian Hospice as her health continues to rapidly decline. Despite massive efforts by experienced physicians, she is still failing to pull through from the incident that left her barely clinging to life.
