Missing Arizona Couple: Family And Friends Still Searching For Michael And Tina Careccia

This missing Arizona couple was last heard from on June 22, when they were on their way to work, and nobody has seen them since. What happened to Maricopa residents Michael and Tina Careccia?

Family and friends of the missing Arizona couple, Michael and Tina Careccia, are frantically searching for the husband and wife. Michael’s 17-year-old son, Luke Careccia, called 911 at about 7:15 p.m. on Monday, June 22, according to the Arizona Republic.

The couple reportedly left their home at about 5 a.m. Monday morning in their 2008 Honda Accord, but neither made their scheduled appointments. The car was found not far from their home, “unlocked with no keys or any trace of them,” according to Tina’s daughter, Blayke Perry.

Perry has been actively asking for help on her social media and posted an emotional message on her Facebook page, which reads as follows, in part.

“I’m dealing with this the best I can and I’m being the strongest I can for my parents, little brothers, and other family members. Please just think about that. I’m 22 years old and I should have my mom and her husband here to give me advice but they aren’t here right now so let’s cut the bullsh*** and bring them home.”

“I’m worried about him,” Luke calmly told the 911 dispatcher when he called to report his father and stepmother missing, adding, “their phones are off.”

Michael’s brother-in-law, Geoff Dugan, who is in charge of the search, told KPHO he haven’t lost hope they will find the missing Arizona couple, despite the fact authorities believe foul play is involved and authorities investigating the disappearance have few leads.

“We have our ups and downs just like you would expect.

You know, from day one, we ride the roller coaster of emotions like you would expect. But, yeah, we’re still optimistic. We’re still looking.”

According to police, there has been no activity on either Michael or Tina’s cell phones. Bank accounts and credit cards are also being monitored, with no activity reported in the last eight days.

Former Phoenix police Sgt. Andy Hill told the Arizona Republic he is not so hopeful. “Is it possible for a couple to run away? Yes. Is it likely without foul play? Not likely.”

Family friend Katie Gates told the New York Daily News it is completely out of character for the missing Arizona couple to take off like this.

“It’s quite unlike them. Their kids knew immediately something was wrong when they didn’t hear from them.

We’re very hopeful we’ll find them. We’re praying for some leads.”

The missing Arizona couple is described as follows by police. Michael Careccia is 5-foot-10 and weighs about 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. His wife Tina is about 5-foot-8, weighs about 140 pounds, and has blonde hair.

Those with tips on the missing Arizona couple are urged to call the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office at 520-866-5111.
