Lee Si Young Sex Tape Rumors: K-Drama Star’s Agency Squashes False Rumors, Will Take Legal Action
Since 2008, Lee Si Young has been a well-known name in Korean entertainment. Known for her K-drama roles in Boys Over Flowers, Birth of the Rich (also known as Becoming a Billionaire), Playful Kiss, and Golden Cross, as well as her amateur boxing career, Si Young is one of the most sought-out Korean personalities today.
Because Lee Si Young is known for her wide array of talents, which in turn has made her one of the most famous Korean stars living today, she is, at times, the target of gossip. Recently, Si Young has been rumored to have a sex tape. Either it be true or not, just the fact that a rumor has gained traction can besmirch her image. Ergo, Lee Si Young’s agency is doing all they can to squash the rumors, even taking legal action.
According to Allkpop, Lee Si Young’s agency, J. Wide Company, is taking swift action in squashing the rumors now that its been proven false, as made in a statement for Star News.
“We confirmed the contents of this rumor, and it is absolutely false.”
Right now, there is no ongoing police investigation into the agency itself for the possibility the rumor might have originated from within. However, those spreading the rumors on social media may find themselves in hot water very soon as J. Wide Company is opening a cyber-defamation investigation, as reported by KdramaStars.
“We regard the unverified rumors as severely damaging her [Lee Si Young] reputation as well as causing her pain. All the content is false.”
J. Wide Company plans to take swift, aggressive action, filing criminal charges against anyone spreading sex tape rumors. This of course is to prevent anymore damage to Lee Si Young’s image, which may in turn segue into her career as an actor and amateur boxer.
