Jessie J Instagram Surgery: Singer In ‘A Lot Of Pain’ After Mystery Surgery, Is Jessie J OK?
Jessie J posted on Instagram to let fans know that she had surgery, but she didn’t go into detail about what was going on. She said that she was doing “OK,” and that she wanted to let her fans know that she needs some time to heal, but she didn’t want the media getting a hold of the story and twisting it around, according to E! News.
“I’m going to be offline for a few days and I wanted to show you why | I don’t often share personal stuff (especially about my health) anymore | I just get on with it secretly | but I wanted to share with you before someone else might and it gets twisted and exaggerated into something different or worse. Meh [sic],” she wrote.

Jessie J’s long Instagram post confirmed that she underwent surgery, but she chose to keep the information she shared minimal. Though some found her announcement rather cryptic, she really wants people to respect her privacy.
“Just know I am ok as I say in the video on the right | I had an operation yesterday so need to rest | I won’t be saying what for so PLEASE don’t keep asking me or harassing my close ones on here or anywhere for information | Its personal and I know you can respect that | I just wanted to explain to my fans why I may go AWOL for a minute [sic].”
Jessie J has canceled a few upcoming shows, and has updated fans on her condition since her original post. Her most recent health-related Instagram photo shows her arm with a bunch of IVs in it. In the caption, she says that she’s “not OK,” and that she is in a lot of pain. She said that she was on morphine, which does suggest that whatever is going on is causing her severe pain.

According to Entertainment Weekly, this is not the first time that Jessie J had to cancel shows for health-related reasons. In 2012, she needed “vocal rest,” and a few months ago she canceled some appearances due to a “sudden illness.” No word on whether that illness is related to whatever is going on with her now.
