Bobby Brown Unites With Whitney Houston’s Family At Hospice Facility

Bobby Brown and the family of his late wife, Whitney Houston, have reportedly not always gotten along, but last week drew them all together under tragic circumstances.

Brown and several members of Houston’s family gathered at a hospice facility in Georgia where Bobbi Kristina Brown now resides, and have been at her side since her placement there on Wednesday. Bobbi Kristina has been hospitalized since January, when she was found floating facedown in her bathtub. Since then, rumors have flown online regarding her recovery — or lack thereof — with no clear explanation as to what happened to her, and now her family says she’s “in God’s hands.”

“We thank everyone for their support and prayers. She is in God’s hands now,” the family said in a recent statement.

“It is no secret that Bobby does not get along with Whitney’s family. There’s a lot of deep animosity on both sides. But both Bobby and the Houstons have made the conscious decision that they love Krissy more than they dislike each other. They are truly working together right now and there is no discourse,” a source told Entertainment Tonight.

Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, has come under fire from the family since the incident, and now a lawsuit has been filed against him with claims that he stole from her bank account and was physically abusive towards her. Bobby Brown declined to allow Gordon to see Bobbi Kristina while she was in the hospital, saying he wouldn’t give permission until he got the truth about what happened on the night she was found unconscious.

“No human being, male or female, should endure what Bobbi Kristina endured. Pat Houston and Bobby Brown have done all they can to take care of Bobbi Kristina since this terrible tragedy occurred. This lawsuit represents our collective efforts to get justice for Bobbi Kristina,” reads the legal paperwork, which alleges that Gordon hit Bobbi Kristina in the face, knocking out a tooth, and dragged her by her hair in one incident.

It’s not clear what the outcome will be for Bobbi Kristina, but patients are moved to hospice care after all other medical treatments have been exhausted. It’s believed that the past week is the first time Brown and Houston’s families have been together at her bedside; fans have taken to social media to express sadness at what that might mean.
