Dakota Meyer Speaks Out, But Bristol Palin’s Ex-Beau War Hero Talks ISIS & Confederate Flag, Not Pregnancy [Video]

Dakota Meyer is speaking out after the news that his ex-fiance Bristol Palin is pregnant. But his focus in his Facebook page is designed to express how the former U.S Marine feels about the latest terrorist attacks and has nothing to do with how Dakota is handling Palin’s pregnancy news, reported People.

Meyer chose to speak out about putting the Confederate flag controversy in perspective, terming the media attention to that topic to be a dog and pony show.

“Within the past 24 hours there have been three terrorist style attacks across the world,” posted Dakota. “There has been an incident at a U.S. company owned gas factory in Lyon, France Leaving one dead and two injured. Another incident in Tunisia with 28 people lost in an assault on a west tourist, mostly British. And finally, a blast at a Shiite mosque in Kuwait.”

Moreover, added Meyer, he believes that the media and politicians are colluding to downplay the attacks overseas.

“All ISIS/ISIL attacks and all overshadowed by the dog and pony show being put on here domestically by some politicians and mass media,” added Dakota. “The news that feeds the ‘inquiring mind want to know’ is inconsequential compared to that which is truly relevant but lost on the back page.”

The news that Bristol is pregnant came shortly after Palin cancelled her planned May marriage ceremony to Meyer, who is the third living recipient of the U.S. Medal of Honor in the post-Vietnam era.

They became engaged in March.

Palin has one son, 6-year-old Tripp, whose father is her ex-beau Levi Johnston.

“I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you. But please respect [my son] Tripp’s and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy,” Bristol wrote in her blog announcing her second pregnancy.

As the Inquisitr reported, Dakota is linked to Palin’s second pregnancy. However, neither she nor Meyer have spoken out about those reports or precisely why the wedding was cancelled.

Instead, Dakota has been using social media to speak out about the battle to remove the Confederate flag from the South Carolina state capitol and why he feels the focus needs to be on fighting ISIS, reported the Daily Mail.

When the FBI asked military members to remove controversial posts from social media in case an ISIS attack occurred and those posts could make them targets, Meyer refused.

“If ISIS is using social media to track me, that’s a dream come true in my book. These guys are a bunch of bullies that just prey on the weak,” posted Dakota. “I can’t travel over there anymore now that I’m out of the Marine Corps, so having them come to me would help out a lot. ISIS targeting the U.S. military is like a sheep targeting a lion. Hopefully one of these a**holes actually shows up. They’ll definitely get more than they want at my place!”
