Jhene Aiko Interview: Lyrics To ‘Post To Be’ — Just Lyrics Or Actual Fetish? [Video]

By now, you’ve probably heard Jhene Aiko’s lyrics to Omarion’s “Post to Be.” Well, in a recent interview, Jhene talks about her “groceries.”

On the chance that you’ve not heard Aiko’s famous lyrical line, it quotes as follows.

“If your dude comes close to me, he gone wanna ride off in the ghost with me. [I make’m do it] I might let your boy chauffeur me, but he gotta eat the b**ty like groceries… that’s how it’s post to be, if he wants me to expose the freak.”

There’s been speculation correlating that particular topic to Jhene. However, in a clarifying interview with MTV’s Rob Markman earlier this month, Aiko elaborates as follows.

“I wrote my verse with Michael Powell, someone that I’ve written with before. And I just told him, ‘Whatever we say, I just wanna make sure we say something about ‘eat the b**ty’.’

“It was a fun song, you know? I wanted my part to be funny and unexpected — ironically, ‘groceries’ rhymes with ‘post to be’. And so, it works. And that’s the thing about me. You never really know what I’m gonna say.

“And though I say ‘you gotta’… you don’t. You don’t ‘gotta.’ You don’t have to. It’s optional. It’s not everyone’s thing. I get it.

“[Jokingly said] See, it’s kind of a metaphor for life. ‘B**ty’ is life. ‘Groceries’ are life.”

Though Jhene’s lyrics give a metaphorical connotation to “life,” it seems that she’s been giving advice via her Twitter page.

Over the last week, she’s been offering relationship advice. It could be in accordance to her new song with Big Sean, “I Know.”

Her tweets are as follows.

All in all, how do you feel about Jhene Aiko’s possible “eat the b**ty” fetish? She didn’t deny it, right? She just said that she understands that it’s not everyone’s thing, and it’s “optional.”
