WWE News: Vince McMahon Denied A Top WWE Star From Turning Heel?

There might not be anything more exciting than a heel or babyface turn that no WWE fan saw coming. Even if the WWE alludes to a WWE superstar turning one way or another, it’s still envigorating to watch it happen. When Seth Rollins turned on his Shield brethren last summer, it became one of the best moments in WWE history. Even though it was pre-determined, nobody knew which Shield member would turn heel.

Who exactly decides when a WWE star turns heel or face? When it comes down to the big stars, it’s usually a group decision between the WWE Creative team, Vince McMahon, and Triple H. John Cena, a few years ago, almost turned heel, but they never pulled the trigger.

Then, there are the instances of the Big Show, who turns heel and face once a month. For big stars, the WWE waits for the opportune time. This instance just occurred with a huge WWE star. According to Daily Wrestling News, one WWE executive wanted Roman Reigns to turn heel, but another one rejected the idea.

“WE is obviously going with a babyface Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt but it’s worth noting Triple Hhas reportedly pushed hard for a Reigns heel turn. However, Vince McMahon was not on-board.”

In an earlier report by the Inquisitr, a top WWE superstar was rumored to turn heel. Inside the report, the following WWE stars were mentioned:

“Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, John Cena, Chris Jericho, possibly Seth Rollins and possibly Brock Lesnar working as top babyfaces, one of those is expected to turn.”

As it turns out, Roman Reigns was in the list of rumored WWE talent to turn heel. Sheamus already has, and the WWE is invested in that character. When Seth Rollins turns babyface, that’s another heel the WWE will lack on their main roster. Somebody will have to fill that void. Due to Reigns’ current feud with Bray Wyatt, either Wyatt has to dominate him, or Reigns needs to turn.

Bleacher Report said it best when they proclaimed this feud with Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt will only enhance both careers. Both stars took an odd turn for the worst at WrestleMania 31. Wyatt lost to the Undertaker, which derailed his progress. Reigns lost the WWE championship match to Seth Rollins. Where do both stars go from here? How about a double-turn at WWE Battleground? Nobody will see that coming.
