Donald Trump Kicks Univision Off His Golf Course, Publishes Jorge Ramos’ Personal Phone Number

Donald Trump has, figuratively speaking, told Univision to get off his lawn — the lawn at his Miami golf course, that is.

In an Instagram post, he also revealed the personal cellphone number of Jorge Ramos, the television network’s high-profile, Emmy-winning news anchor.

The Trump-Univision feud had its source in the real estate mogul’s verbose presidential campaign announcement on June 16 in New York City in which he complained about rapists and other criminals allegedly coming across the southern border from Mexico.

A huge backlash resulted, and Univision subsequently announced that it was terminating its business relationship with Trump’s firm — including pulling the plug on broadcasting the July 12 Miss USA Pageant — because of the reality TV star’s “insulting remarks about Mexican immigrants.”

In response, The Donald apparently plans to sue the Univision television network for breach of contract for backing out of the five-year contract with the Miss Universe Organization, a joint venture between Trump and NBCUniversal.

In a letter to the Spanish-language network today, Trump notified the company’s CEO that Univision employees are no longer allowed to use the Trump National Doral resort or golf course which is a neighbor to Univision’s Miami campus. He also told his counterpart to close the gate between the two properties.

“Trump’s move may have been in response to an internal memo Univision sent to employees on Thursday telling staffers not to patronize any Trump hotel or property while conducting company business,” Variety reported.

Trump’s letter to Univision contained this postscript.

“Please congratulate your Mexican Government officials for having made such outstanding trade deals with the United States. However, inform them that should I become President, those days are over. We are bringing jobs back to the U.S. Also, a meaningful border will be immediately created, not the laughingstock that currently exists.”

Trump today also uploaded to his Instagram account a photo of a handwritten letter dated June 25 (after Univision nixed the pageant broadcast) from anchor Jorge Ramos requesting an interview. Now deleted, it contained Ramos’ personal cellphone number. Under the photo, Trump wrote “Univision said they don’t like Trump yet Jorge Ramos and their other anchors are begging me for interviews.”

Deadline Hollywood reports that Ramos — who has interviewed top politicians from President Obama on down — previously characterized Trump’s controversial remarks about the border situation as “full of ethnic prejudices” and “without any basis in reality.” Ramos is a vocal advocate of immigration reform that generally amounts to an open southern border.

Univision has declared that despite cutting ties with Trump on the business end, its news division will continue to cover all 2016 presidential candidates, including Donald Trump.

Separately, according to The Washington Free Beacon, last week a Univision executive in a now-deleted Instagram posting “appeared to indicate that there were similarities between Trump and Dylann Roof,” the suspected Charleston mass murderer.

According to Politico, Univision and Bill and Hillary Clinton have a deep relationship which includes a partnership with the Clinton Foundation, cheerleading for the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, and newscasts that often “bashed Republicans”

On June 19, Jorge Ramos disclosed that his daughter had gone to work for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, but he added that “I will continue to report with complete independence and ask the tough questions, the same way I have done for the last 30 years.”

Do you think Donald Trump and Univision will be able to resolve their differences?
