Fresh North Carolina Shark Attack Leaves Man Injured, Pictures & Video Go Viral [Breaking]
Just a few days after a string of shark attack reports came in from North Carolina, we are hearing of yet another such attack from the state. CBS News is reporting of a new shark attack from North Carolina, citing its local affiliate WFMY News.
The new shark attack reportedly happened at about half a mile down the north side of the pier on Avon beach in Dare County, initial reports say. The news has been confirmed by Avon Fishing Pier manager Keith Matthews, who added that the first reports of the shark attack came in at around 12:30 p.m. Matthews added that officials from the Hatteras Island Rescue have instructed the Avon Fishing Pier to put up a red flag to warn people about the dangers of going into the waters.
A video said to be taken moments after the shark attack has also been uploaded to Twitter by a user.

According to Twitter user Mike Will of Apex, North Carolina, the shark attack happened around a half-mile south of Avon Pier on Hatteras Island. This fact has also been confirmed by the Hatteras Island Rescue Squad.
Meanwhile, WNCT News reports that the man who was injured in the attack is reportedly around 50-years-old. The extent of his injuries, however, has not been revealed. However, initial reports say that the man was injured on the back and his buttocks, and add that they are non-life threatening.
This latest incident of a shark attack in North Carolina comes just days after an 8-year-old boy from the state suffered minor injuries from what appeared to be a small shark bite.
Earlier this month, two young people lost their limbs in two separate shark attack incidents that happened near the North Carolina beach town of Oak Island. The youngsters were in waist-deep water when they were attacked by sharks.
