WWE News: Hulk Hogan Talks Wrestling At ‘WrestleMania 32,’ Says There’s A 50/50 Chance It’ll Happen

Hulk Hogan is 61 years-old, but his age and his injury history isn’t stopping him from trying to convince WWE Chairman Vince McMahon that he’s ready, willing, and able to wrestle one last match at next year’s WrestleMania 32 in front of a record crowd of 100,000 people.

Granted, Hogan is in a lot better physical shape than most of his contemporaries. However, he has been advised by his doctors to never wrestle another match again due to him undergoing multiple back surgeries.

At this past year’s WrestleMania, Hogan got a lot more physical than he’s gotten in a long time when he was thrown into the ring post and fell to the floor. That particular spot surprised a lot of people because the belief was that Hogan would never be allowed to be on the receiving end of something like that, which could mean that WWE has changed their stance on just how physical Hogan can get. But, then again, it was the biggest show of the year, so maybe they made an exception, and they may do the same next year.

“The Hulkster” recently did an interview withFox Sports to promote the upcoming season of WWE Tough Enough, and he was asked what the chances were we’d see him in the red and yellow tights wrestling in front of 100,000 people in AT&T Stadium next year. Hogan responded by simply saying 50/50.

Earlier this year, Hogan did several interviews where he guaranteed that he would be wrestling at next year’s WrestleMania, and that Vince McMahon himself told Hogan that he was looking forward to seeing him get back into the squared-circle one more time. Now it appears that Hogan isn’t so sure that he’ll be allowed to wrestle again.

As noted before, Hogan has a history of back injuries, which is the number one reason why he hasn’t wrestled a single match since he returned to WWE last year. If Hogan is going to be allowed back into the ring, he’ll have to pass a series of physical tests as WWE doesn’t want something catastrophic to happen.

Just a couple of days after this month’s Stone Cold Podcast on the WWE Network — where Austin teased getting back in the ring — Dave Meltzer of theWrestling Observer noted that Vince McMahon isn’t interested in putting older guys with a history of back and neck issues in the ring, which is why we won’t see “Stone Cold” Steve Austin or Hulk Hogan wrestle again. That remains to be seen. But, even if Hogan and Austin don’t wrestle next year, they will have a role on the show as WWE wants to attach as many big names to next year’s WrestleMania as they can.
