Walker Stalker Con Is This Weekend — But Are You Game Enough To Take The Cruise? [Video]
Can’t wait until next month to see your favorite Walking Dead stars at the San Diego Comic-Con? Why not head on down to Orlando this weekend for Walker Stalker Con? Walker Stalker Con is an event that is now in 13 different locations across the U.S., with Orlando taking their turn on June 27-28, 2015.
Walker Stalker Con is the place to be if you are a fan of AMC’s The Walking Dead. It features cast — past and present — from AMC’s hit TV show The Walking Dead as well as merchandise opportunities, cosplay, and events such as the tactical laser-tag zombie hunt and the newly announced Walker Stalker Cruise.
The Walker Stalker Cruise runs over the span of three days and includes cast from The Walking Dead as the cruise ship takes fans from Miami to the Bahamas. Walker Stalker Con describes the experience as follows.
“Calling all fans of Skybound’s The Walking Dead! Where’s the best place to be when a zombie apocalypse breaks loose? At sea of course, on a cruise hosted by The Walker Stalkers along with the stars and creative minds behind your favorite television and comic book series! Now picture yourself surrounded by like-minded fans (or should we say, survivors?) on a three-day escape at sea as we sail from Miami, FL to Nassau, Bahamas, January 15-18, 2016 aboard Norwegian Pearl.”
Currently, the Walking Dead cast that will be attending this cruise (although this is subject to change according to their work schedules) are Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon), Chandler Rigg (Carl Grimes), Emily Kinney (Beth Greene), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha), Chad L. Coleman (Tyreese), Christian Serratos (Rosita), Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (Bob Sookey), and Ross Marquand (Aaron). Joining them will be make-up artists and special effects crew. Special features during the Walker Stalker Con in Orlando include a concert by Emily Kinney and the Necrosis after party. As yet, no cast from AMC’s spin off series, Fear the Walking Dead, are included in this event — but it will surely only be a matter of time.
Walker Stalker Con will run June 27 and 28, 2015 in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center.
