‘Marvel Heroes’ Wraps Up Its Anniversary With A Free Team-Up, Big Ten Mega Event

To finish off a month of anniversary revelry, Marvel Heroes players can enjoy the return of the Big Ten event today. The game patched early this morning with a few bug fixes and the reintroduction of the mega event. Most of the events, sales, and festivities are live now, but players will have to wait until Friday to get their free team-up.

Veteran Marvel Heroes players are probably familiar with the Big Ten event. This huge event is a combination of 10 events and sales that run off and on in the game, including some that only come around rarely. During this year’s Big Ten, players can expect to participate in the following events: Cosmic Chaos, Operation Omega, Odin’s Bounty, and Fortune Favors You. Additionally, Cowpocalypse and the Anniversary Cake drops will continue as part of the Big Ten. To round out this year’s Big Ten, the Boost Bonanza sale and the BOGO sale on heroes and costumes will also return.

Finally, a daily gift box full of in-game currencies will be available each day of the Big Ten, and players logging in this weekend will be treated to a free team-up character. The Big Ten Daily Gift included 50 A.R.M.O.R. Drives, 30 Cosmic Worldstones, 30 Omega Files, 10 Odin Marks, 10 Eternity Splinters, and 10 Cube Shards. These currencies buy things like special artifacts, team-ups, legendary items, or even heroes. The free team-up, however, is completely new to the game as a team-up. Marvel Heroes players who log in during the weekend will find a shiny, new Iron Man Mk II as part of their roster.

Marvel Heroes’ Odin’s Bounty event returns with the Big Ten

Most of the festivities are live right now, however, players will need to log in some time during the weekend to receive their Iron Man Mk II team-up. Additionally, the rotation of Odin’s Bounty does not start until Friday. The Odin’s Bounty portion of the Big Ten buffs certain areas of the game in three-hour chunks. During the buff, bosses in the designated area drop Chests of Odin’s Bounty with lots of loot inside and a chance to drop a Mysterious Crimson Box.

A few changes and bug fixes were also pushed to the live server when the Big Ten patch concluded. Interested Marvel Heroes players should check out the official patch notes for details. The notes are also a good place to see all of the event details in one place.

The Inquisitr reported each week’s bonuses for the month-long celebration of Marvel Heroes’ second anniversary. Players who logged in throughout the month have gotten a free hero of their choice, a free pet, a chance to purchase many items with big discounts, and much more. Logging in this weekend will ensure players get the new Iron Man Mk II team-up while a number of events, boosts, and sales are ongoing.

Will you be logging into Marvel Heroes this week?
