Josh Duggar: Has He Considered Suicide After Sex Abuse Scandal Broke?

Josh Duggar has had a difficult time since the sexual molestation scandal broke. He resigned from his position as executive director of the Family Research Council, a conservative Christian lobbying group, in May. He moved from Maryland to Alabama, supposedly to be with family. And now rumors have swirled on social media and the internet that Josh has considered suicide.

However, a close family source stated that Josh has not been considering suicide and that he has the support of his family to help him get through the scandal. The source stated the following, according to the Examiner.

“Suicide is not the answer in the family, nor is it the thoughts that Josh has.”

Supposedly, Josh’s friends and family are helping him get through this extremely difficult time. His Christian faith is also said to be helping him. A source close to the family stated the following, according to Hollywood Life.

“He is getting through this with the help of friends and family, but killing himself has never crossed his mind. He sure as h*** is feeling the pressure of the situation but physical harm is not the end game… He is getting alot if support from family and friends. It’s a rough road he is dealing with right now but he is getting through it. Faith is obviously helping him through as well.”

The evidence showed that he molested some of his sisters, including Jessa and Jill. The two siblings have gone out of their way to demonstrate that they’ve forgiven their big brother. Has this helped Josh forgive himself? Why would victims be so openly forgiving when the public has turned on Josh? Family therapist Steve Ornstein explained why it seems like the reality TV clan is dismissing Josh’s sexual abuse as if it were nothing, according to Hollywood Life.

“Victims of this kind of abuse carry a lot of guilt and shame that they somehow have responsibility in what happened to them.”

Do you believe that Josh Duggar should be forgiven for the molestation of five females, including his siblings? If not, what penalty do you think he should have received? Do you think that someone who molests can be rehabilitated? Please leave your comments below.

And Josh has even taken time to celebrate life’s events despite the focus the public has on the molestation charges. Josh Duggar and Anna Duggar took time to celebrate her birthday, according to an article in the Inquisitr.
