Bindi Irwin: Animal Terrifies Bindi, But You’ll Be Surprised To Hear This Buzz

Bindi Irwin says one animal terrifies her, but which animal could it be? Following in the footsteps of her beloved dad, Steve Irwin, Bindi loves all living creatures and is kind to each one, but there is one animal in particular that she is afraid of. According to People Pets, that would be the bee. Bindi recalled a very early memory of being stung by a bee and says that she has been terrified of the insect ever since.

“When I was about 2 years old, I found a bee that had been stepped on the foot path, and so I picked it up to rescue it, and it stung me on the hand. From that day forward, I’ve been terrified of bees. Give me a 15-ft. crocodile any day over a bee,” she said.

Bindi Irwin admits the animal that terrifies her is small, but a fear of bees isn’t too uncommon, especially for people who have been stung or who have an allergy. Bindi, 16, has taken after her father in so many ways. While Steve may not have been terrified of any animal, he would still be proud of Bindi and the way that she has embraced life as an animal lover.

Most recently, Bindi, her mom, Terri, and her brother, Robert, attended the 30th anniversary party for the Discovery Channel. According to Mail Online, the family wore their signature khaki outfits on the blue carpet at the Paley Center for Media in New York on Wednesday night. The Irwin’s traveled all the way from Australia (they all work at the Australia Zoo) to attend the event.

Although she works closely with others to help endangered wildlife, Bindi has certainly been coming into her own lately as she grows up and discovers who she is.

“Posting a number of selfies on social media, the young Australian star, who has been in the spotlight from an early age, has been experimenting with a more fashion conscious look, ditching her khakis on various occasions. Bindi posted a glam black and white selfie on Instagram of herself wearing bold eye makeup and dark lacquered lips, accompanied by a beautiful quote showing she is confident in her own skin.”

Bindi Irwin is okay admitting an animal terrifies her — and she should be! Every person has at least one fear, and there is nothing for Bindi to be worried about. It doesn’t necessarily mean that she doesn’t appreciate what bees do for the world.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Bindi recently talked about an animal that she absolutely loves — and that would be the echidna. She says the animal is “kind of like a porcupine – a blob covered in spikes with backwards-facing feet and a really long nose.”

Are you a Bindi Irwin fan? What do you think of her decision to follow in her dad’s footsteps when it comes to the well-being of animals?
