Famed Producer Scott Storch Broke: He Produced Hit Singles For Christina Aguilera, Blew Through $70M [Video]

Scott Storch, the famed music producer who worked on hit singles for the likes of Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake has blown through his $70 million fortune – and says he only has $100 cash in his pocket.

Storch filed for bankruptcy telling a California court he has $3,600 to his name – including a $3,000 watch and $500 worth of clothes, reports the Daily Mail. Scott blew through much of his fortune, reportedly, because of a massive cocaine habit, although Storch chalks it up to the costs of his lifestyle.

“I would always be going from L.A. to Miami to New York, to Russia, St Tropez. Costs about $50,000 for a domestic flight, $250,000 for overseas. Yeah, that’s an expensive habit” Storch, told Billboard in a 2014 interview with the magazine.

In 2005, Scott Storch became famous for blowing $30 million in less than six months due to his cocaine subsidized lifestyle. Although he produced hits like Chris Brown’s “Run It!” and Beyonce’s “Me, Myself and I,” Scott claims the value of his mega hit producing companies, Tuff Jew Productions and Storch Music, is worth nothing, according to a court filing reported by the New York Daily News.

This isn’t Scott’s first run in with financial troubles. He filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy in 2009, losing his $10 million waterfront mansion to foreclosure. He also has a criminal past associated with his money troubles, and Storch, who used to date Lil’ Kim and Paris Hilton, was arrested for grand theft auto after he didn’t return a 2004 Bentley GT. He told authorities he leased the Bently GT for Lil’ Kim.

During a 2013 interview with Vlad TV, Storch said the cause of his downward spiral was a “combination of women and drugs” reports the New York Daily News.

Although Scott, “used to party nonstop in his 10-bedroom mega-mansion on Miami’s exclusive Palm Island and aboard his 117-foot yacht named Tiffany” according to the New York Daily News, and he produced “Fighter” for Christina Aguilera and “Cry Me A River” for Justin Timberlake, he only make $10,000 last year according to a court document.

Storch had at least a dozen top ten hits between 2001 and 2005 for artists like Beyonce, Chris Brown, and Snoop Dog, among others. He claims he’s now working on writing and producing songs for rapper Rick Ross, DJ duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and DJ Steven Lee says the Daily Mail. Scott wants to create a new career in electronic dance music, and is planning to release a four-song EP this year that he would write, perform and produce himself.
