Bobbi Kristina Brown: Pressure For Nick Gordon Criminal Investigation After Details In Civil Suit Emerge

With recent news of a civil lawsuit filed against Nick Gordon on behalf of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s conservator, the Roswell Police Department are feeling the pressure to charge him criminally as well. The police handed over the investigation today to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, to decide on upcoming charges.

The 26-year-old is accused of attacking Bobbi Kristina before she was found comatose in a bathtub, as well as stealing more than $10,000 while she lay unconscious in the hospital. The civil lawsuit comes shortly after family announced the young reality star was transferred to hospice today.

The story of Bobbi Kristina and boyfriend Gordon’s domestic disputes isn’t anything new to Atlanta authorities. Although many people hadn’t heard of Gordon until Bobbi Kristina was found face-down in a bathtub earlier this year, the couple’s run-in with police started at least more than two years ago, while living in an Atlanta-area apartment.

In 2012, A 911 caller, heard telling a dispatcher that she’s had to call authorities on the couple before, stated that she heard yelling, banging, a girl screaming, and a loud thud from the apartment next to her; the apartment Bobbi Kristina shared with Gordon.

The 911 call is only one of the many questionable actions of Gordon, who moved in with the late Whitney Houston when he was 18, after his mother kicked him out of her home. In 2013, another 911 call revealed that police were dispatched to their home for alleged drug use and partying.

Fulton County court records indicate that Pat Houston, Bobbi Kristina’s aunt, placed a protective order on Gordon in 2014 for family domestic violence. The protective order came shortly after Gordon posted photos of himself on social media, holding firearms.

On the night before Jan. 31, Bobbi Kristina’s neighbors at her Roswell townhome told authorities that there were loud arguments and screaming prior to the 22-year-old being found unconscious in her bathtub. Last month, neighbor Debra Reis Brooks stated that Gordon was so out of control that police asked her to take him inside her home.

“Nick was so out of control and the police came up to me and said, ‘Would you take him in?’ because they wanted to bring [Bobbi Kristina] out in a stretcher and didn’t want him to see her.”

So far, however, Gordon has yet to face any criminal charges in regard to the Jan. 31 incident. Yet, with recent news on the family transferring Bobbi Kristina to hospice, criminal charges may possibly surface in the near feature. Earlier this month, attorney Julie Rice indicated that in many instances, authorities wait for a victim to die before pursuing criminal action.

“They are most likely waiting to see the outcome of whether or not she dies before bringing any charges. They would most likely wait until if she died to bring charges rather than bring charges when there is no death involved. If they do have a suspect in mind, they are probably monitoring that person at all times.”

This is not to say, however, that Bobbi Kristina Brown will die. Although the situation certainly looks grim, family members are “leaving it in God’s hands” while maintaining hope.
