The Watcher: Dream Home Abandoned By Family Who Received Terrifying Letters From ‘The Watcher’
The Watcher caused a family to leave their dream home in New Jersey after they received several threatening letters. According to Mail Online, Maria and Derek Broaddus signed the papers for their $1.3 million dream home in Westfield last year, and almost immediately started receiving these notes from someone who calls himself “The Watcher.”
It is believed that whoever is sending the notes is stalking the family, but it is unclear why.

“Why are you here? I will find out. My grandfather watched the house in the 1920s and my father watched in the 1960s. It is now my time. Do you need to fill the house with the young blood I requested?” read one terrifying message.
The Watcher has apparently been watching the couple’s dream home, and says that he wants the blood of their children. Below are some excerpts from notes that the Broaddus family has received.
“Once I know their names I will call to them and draw them to me. I asked the (prior owners) to bring me young blood. And now I watch and wait for the day when [the] young blood will be mine again.”
“Have they found what is in the walls yet? In time they will. I am pleased to know your names and the names now of the young blood you have brought to me.”
“Will the young bloods play in the basement. Who has the rooms facing the street? I’ll know as soon as you move in. It will help me to know who is in which bedroom then I can plan better. All the windows and [doors] in [the house] allow me to watch you and track you as you move through the house.”
The Watcher claims the family’s dream home is his and that he is “in charge” of the house. According to the New York Post, Maria and Derek Broaddus have filed a lawsuit against the former homeowners, and have named the apparent stalker in the lawsuit as well.
“In ?their suit, the couple says the stalker threatened them with several letters and packages — mail the previous owners received before unloading the haunted house.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, police are currently investigating and have been given the letters to look over. So far, there haven’t been any leads.
The family is having trouble selling the home, as potential buyers are scared off by this apparent stalker (or ghost/spirit if you believe in that sort of thing).
