Chris Brown Takes Credit For Karrueche Tran’s Career, Tells Ex She ‘Owes Him’
Chris Brown may have been desperate to win back on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran after their split in March, however, after months of Tran publicly bashing Brown and his character via social media, sources close to Chris reveal that the singer is fed up with trying to be amicable with his ex.
Tran and Brown called it quits via Twitter in March after the model learned that Brown cheated on her and fathered now 1-year-old daughter Royalty with Nia Guzman. While Chris has proved himself as a dedicated father to his little girl, Brown has also attempted to make amends with Tran in the hopes that she would give their relationship another chance.
However, Tran has been adamant about her decision to not go back to Brown, often reminding herself and fans of the pain that Brown has caused her over the years with his legal woes and cheating scandals.
The duo most recently battled it out on social media after Brown tagged Tran in a post asking her to stop mentioning their split in interviews, Urban Islandz reports.
Tran immediately shot back at Chris with her own message, calling Brown out on his own decision to discuss their relationship in an interview with Ryan Seacrest earlier this month.
“First off @chrisbrownofficial you just did an interview w Ryan Seacrest in which you spoke about me. My interview w Access Hollywood was not entirely about you. Sources close to Brown reveal that Tran’s message didn’t sit well with the singer, prompting Chris to send his ex a private message where he dissed her by insinuating that he is solely responsible for the success of her career.
“Chris was furious and a lot of folks around him kind of agreed that he is the one who made her become famous. Before Breezy no one knew who Karrueche was so he has a right to feel some type of way about her bragging about her career. So he basically told her that she owes him her career.”
The source adds that while Chris has hurt Karrueche in the past, Brown did help her become more recognizable in the entertainment industry.
“The whole situation is really messed up because at the end of the day he hurt her several times, but he also helped her to become who she is now.”
Hollywood Life also alleges that Brown is done trying to bring Karrueche back into his life, noting that he is fully dedicated to being the best father to his daughter. Brown spent this past weekend celebrating his first Father’s Day with daughter Royalty while also throwing the little girl a belated birthday celebration at Disneyland.
“This week has been dedicated to Royalty and he’s savoring every moment. Chris wanted Royalty to see absolutely everything that Southern California has to offer and he’s doing that. He wanted to see his daughter’s face light up with excitement and wants her to remember this trip!”
