Drake’s New Video: ‘Views From The 6’ Music Talk — ‘I’m Not Worried About These Other Rappers’

While Views from the 6 approaches, Drake released a new video about his music and success within album projects. In an interview with Fader, Drizzy quotes, “I’m not worried about these other rappers.”

The Toronto rapper has no shame in his city. In fact, Aubrey Graham says that any artist can put his or her city on the map. He feels that if that person has music the people want to hear — and a thirst to make it happen — it doesn’t matter your location.

In the full-length interview with Fader, Drake talks about his music and how everyone was trying to leave Toronto at the time.

“Toronto is the reason I do this. All I did was find a way to make people proud of our city. The artists from our city… their whole objective was to get out. So, I just had to flip that way of thinking.

All these guys, man, that were like, ‘You gotta go to New York to make it happen’… no you don’t, man. That’s dead now. Do it the way The Weeknd did it. Do it the way PartyNextDoor did it. Do it the way I did it. Do it from where you at.”

From humble beginnings to where his fame now resides, Drizzy quotes, “What’s happening now is meant to be.” In a collaboration with fate and hard-work, Drake’s new album — Views from the 6 — is one of the most-anticipated releases of 2015.

In a previous Inquisitr article, it reports that this particular album is set to be far different from any prior music project Drizzy’s done. Regardless, win or lose, Aubrey says that he’s just going to keep it moving.

Likewise, as far as Drake’s music is concerned — during the Fader interview — he says that he’s not even worried about current rappers. Someone else is his priority.

“I’m not worried about these other rappers. I’m not competing with ‘those’ guys. I already know their hand. I know their move. I study everything. I’m worried about the kid that’s sitting in his house that wants to be better than me and all those guys. That’s who I’m competing with.

That’s why I try to keep pushing this forward, just to let ‘that’ kid know that I’m not done yet… ‘I go by the name of Drizzy Drake’…’Obey Your Thirst’ [Sprite].”

Though it’s not official, it’s anticipated that Drake’s Views from the 6 will release on June 30, 2015 — as rumor has it. Are you excited? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section.
