Adam Lambert sings Born To Be Wild on American Idol (Video)

At first, I was right there with you. Not his best performance. Then I watched it a few more times….and a few more…and a few more and it hit me like a bolt of lightening. This is a performancce that most rock bands would rehearse for weeks or months before attempting and here it was after one week. Absolutely awesome. So far ahead of any of the other contestants, AI should just call it O.V.E.R. already. Adam is The American Idol. Slam Dunk. Case Closed.

Adam Lambert did it again! I feel that as time goes on, more and more people appreciate his talent.

Even in google searches, adam lambert has been searched far more than the other contestants.

Ok, can't stop watching this….someone make me stop…..help I can't stop………………Gawd this kid is good. A poster below said it right. Most rock bands would spend weeks and weeks actually probably months rehearsing this and he pulls it off in less than a week.

Some one shoot me……….I'm still watching it and it's way past my bed time………I have to go to work afterall………jees…..how can anyone vote for take a tranq Danny, or sleep in my cereal Kris after this…..someone slap me………..I have to stop hitting replay. I'm mesmerized…….

I have watched Adam do this song on rewind about 8 times and he is Awesome..I agree with Paula he has taken risks ever since he came on the show…It would be boring just to listen to safe songs all of the time…I love both ways he does his songs..
I love his rock side and the way he got the standing ovation from Simon and Smokey Robinson…Can't wait to buy his cd's, which I am sure he will make…..

Adam can sing, perform, give us our monies worth….so talented….I do not want the world in my bedroom business and so I will not get into his……this show and his career should be based solely on performance, showmanship, and talent. The more we try to dig into his personal life the more we lessen the importance of talent. Some people are unable to separate the two. Respect the talent and hard work that has gotten him to this level and do not let life choices that may or may not be relevant to his career interfere with appreciation for talent.

Adam did his thing which was an astoundingly electrifying vocal performance as well as his usual owning of the stage, but the big disappointment was the band because it was painfully obvious they don't have the talent to “head bang” it enough to keep up with Adam.

Those last notes are purly amazing!

Every week this guy pulls off something unique, spectacular and his vocals are out of this world! Definitely a gifted performer and artist. The other contestants are talented and can sing, but Adam Lambert is in a league of his own. He deserves to win at this point! Sorry other contestants!!
This performance rocks! I can't wait until his CD comes out and he starts touring…my husband and I will be first in line for both. SO ADAM….better make your way to Calgary, Canada!!

Adam Lambert is such a punk. I actually enjoyed the last couple of weeks without all the crap on his face and the squeeling high pitches. You could actually focus on his music and not the “punk” persona. I think he can sing but I hate when he sounds like a squeeling animal instead of letting his beautiful voice come through!

I have never seen in the history of any talent competition anyone like Adam Lambert. I'm confused why he hasn't been signed already even prior to his American Idol appearance. Unbelievable talent, can't wait to watch every week just to see what he'll come up with next. As for whether or not he's gay, WHO CARES? That has nothing to do with talent. Keep it coming Adam, your fan base is just getting bigger and bigger every time you perform!! You're awesome!!!1

adam, incredible? that's an understatement! i'll run out of adjectives describing this superb talent. his performances are breathtaking! and his voice…so enchanting! i just can't get enough of adam. he's the only contestant, in my entire american-idol-watching history, that i've ever cared about. if adam doesn't win, i'll stage a protest.. hehe how could he not win…with his so amazingly flawless vocals? this man is a natural-born star!!!!!!!

well in that case, grandamgirl, i don't think you've seen rockstar inxs (in 2004, i think) and rockstar supernova (in 2006). there were a lot of contestants in that show whose talents, i can say, is at par with adam's. some may even be more brilliant than him (but still, i'm a huge adam fan).

Adam Lambert is the best American Idol contestant ever. He is absolutely phenomenal. I will place him in the category of the best of the best: Mic Jagger, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and The Beatles. This man if promoted the proper way will rock the World. This is just the beginning for Adam. Every song he sings is artisticly masterfull. I already see him filling 100,00 seat stadiums. He is the next Greatest Singer in the World !!!

yeah…he's the 1st reason i keep track of AI. second is kris. kris is brilliant too. he's an artist. he deserves to be in the finale with adam. i'm calling out everyone who's been voting for adam…pls vote for kris too. an adam-kris finale would surely be a great duel—with each displaying ingenuity in their own crafts, showing originality and artistry, and delivering authentic performances. it would be fun to watch two extreme but equally talented individuals battling to be the next american idol.
