Christiane Candice Lange, Girlfriend of Clark Gable’s Son, Found Dead in CA

Christiane Candice Lange, the girlfriend of Clark Gable’s son John, was found dead Wednesday morning in the couple’s Malibu home.

Lang, make-up artist and hairdresser who specialized in professional makeovers, was 41-years-old.

Authorities told ABC News’ Los Angeles affiliate KABC that Lange went to bed early Tuesday night and mentioned to Gable that she wasn’t feeling well. When John Clark Gable checked on her about 10am the next day, he was unable to rouse her.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene and investigators have now launched a probe into Lange’s passing.

A cause of death has not yet been determined but officials do not suspect foul play.

Los Angeles County Chief Coroner Ed Winters says:

“It could be a natural [death]. It was reported as possible prescriptions. She takes a couple of [medications]. It may have been a heart attack. There is no indication of foul play or obvious trauma.”

CBS News writes there is a security hold on the case, preventing Winter from releasing any other information on Christiane Candice Lange‘s death.

John Clark Gable is 51 according to IMDB. He is the only son of the late Hollywood legend and star of “Gone With the Wind,” Clark Gable.

He was born shortly after his father died of a heart attack at age 59.
