Britt Nilsson, Brady Toops Break Up: Relationship Over For ‘The Bachelorette’ Couple [Update]
Did Britt Nilsson and Brady Toops break up? Fans hoping for an update about their relationship have been kept in the dark by the couple who met on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette.
For weeks, Brady was posting pictures of the couple on Instagram, along with sweet captions that seemed to imply that he was falling in love with Britt. Rumors that the couple would get married on the Bachelorette After the Final Rose special have quieted down, and so have the constant “we’re in love” photos.
UPDATE June 24: According to Reality Steve, Britt and Brady have officially broken up. This explains the quick spot with Britt’s mother on the June 22 episode of The Bachelorette — producers were preparing Britt’s fans for a big breakup announcement on an upcoming episode. Steve states that the split happened right around the time the Bachelorette season premiere aired in May. When host Chris Harrison will make the formal announcement is unknown, but expect it to be pitched as “dramatic” and “unexpected.”
“They are done. In fact, I’m hearing they broke up a while ago and are just keeping up this façade for TV purposes. I was told it ended pretty quickly after Kaitlyn’s season started airing, and possibly even before that.”
It’s been more than a week since Brady has shared a pic of the happy couple with his Instagram followers. Britt hasn’t posted a single photo with her guy in over three weeks. Fans who follow Nilsson on Twitter will find that she doesn’t tweet often and hasn’t mentioned Toops at all.
Brady has been live tweeting The Bachelorette but hasn’t posted a photo of the couple since June 11, tweeting only a few cryptic messages about life and love. Is this perhaps a sign that their relationship may have been hyped up by ABC, and they are trying to move on without notice?

Several weeks ago, a source close to the couple told Celeb Dirty Laundry that Britt and Brady already talked about getting married, and they are “in it for the long haul.” The insider stated that Brady was hoping to propose in an “over-the-top” yet traditional way, prompting speculation from fans that they would get engaged on TV after Kaitlyn Bristowe hands out her final rose.
However, blogger Reality Steve recently stated in his “reader emails” column that he didn’t think Britt Nilsson and Brady Toops would get engaged or married on TV. Now fans are left wondering if the whole relationship was promoted to boost ratings, or if Brady really did fall in love with Britt.
Would anyone be surprised if the Britt and Brady love story was created by the show’s producers? The Bachelorette contestant Josh Seiter, who was eliminated on night two, recently told Radar Online that contestants on ABC’s popular reality show are given “scripted lines,” and their actions, even when talking to other contestants, are controlled by producers — similar to the new Lifetime series,UnReal.
