Kristen Taekman Fired From ‘RHONY’ — Latest Casualty In ‘Housewives’ Shakeup?

Kristen Taekman seems to have brought the drama to Season 7 of the Real Housewives of New York, but unfortunately for her, this season could be her last. Producers reportedly will not ask the reality star to return because her storyline is dull and she caused drama with the wrong co-star.

According to a Page Six report on Monday, Taekman will likely not be asked to return not only because her storyline falls flat, but also because she is on the outs with Bethenny Frankel, who was brought back to re-energize the show. A source tells Page Six, the Skinnygirl mogul wants Kristen gone.

“Kristen will probably not be invited back to the show because she doesn’t fit in and her story line is stale. It will be the nail in Kristen’s coffin. Bethenny wants her off the show. She is now the anchor. Kristen is likely departing.”

Kristen Taekman joined the Real Housewives of New York for its sixth season. A central theme of her story line last season was her marital issues; however, as the Inquisitr previously reported, Kristen and her husband banned cameras from filming their marriage problems for the show’s current seventh season. This has left the Pop of Color creator without much of a storyline other than the launch of her new nail polish line and feuding with Bethenny Frankel. So far this season, however, even the feud with her co-star seems to have fizzled as Frankel has shown no interest in engaging with Kristen.

Of course, Taekman may not care to come back to the show if Frankel is returning for another season. After last week’s episode, the RHONY star took to her Bravo blog to express her frustration with Bethenny Frankel’s behavior.

“So because Bethenny is going through a divorce, I am not supposed to ask her about the trip? I should wait and hear about it later through the grapevine? It’s crazy how everyone has to walk around on egg shells with her. And BTW…she has no problem being rude or talking s*** to any of the girls, so #sorrynotsorry.”

Reports of Kristen Taekman’s firing is the latest in a string of cast changes in the Housewives franchise. Late last week, reports surfaced that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star Brandi Glanville has been demoted, but offered a guest role on a trial basis to see if she can “play nice” with her co-stars. It is rumored Kim Richards and Yolanda Foster will not return for another season of RHOBH. Claudia Jordan reportedly will not return to the Real Housewives of Atlanta after having been a Housewife for only one season.

Bravo has yet to officially announce any RHONY casting changes.

The Real Housewives of New York airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
