Elizabeth Hurley, Hot At 50, ‘Hard’ To Date, Says Shane Warne, But Hugh Grant Loves ‘The Royals’ Actress [Video]

Elizabeth Hurley, who just turned fabulously 50, hard to date? It’s true, claims cricketer Shane Warne, who contends that the relationship with The Royals actress Elizabeth was too difficult for either to sustain, reported Contact Music.

After uniting with Elizabeth in 2010, Shane separated from Hurley in 2013 because it was too much for the sportsman.

“[Dating] shouldn’t be that hard,” said Warne of his years with Elizabeth.

Hurley didn’t do anything specific to make it hard, added the cricketer.

“[It was] Nothing specific. Nothing she did wrong, or I did wrong. It just didn’t pan out,” concluded Shane.

In addition, Warne had problems with the concept of staying together permanently with Elizabeth. It’s not just Harley that’s hard to date in his opinion. He argues that all relationships are too challenging to make forever vows.

“Relationships are hard. Really hard. They shouldn’t be, but they are. Tough. Always an interesting dinner conversation: are two people meant to be together for the rest of their lives?”

In addition, Warne admitted that Elizabeth’s career commitments couple with his life clashed, making staying with Hurley even more difficult.

“Elizabeth went back to work, shooting movies and TV series. I was playing cricket and poker. She was going to America, doing her breast cancer awareness stuff for Estee Lauder. I had my poker, I had cricket commentary. I had children in Australia, so just putting all that into the mix. The number of whiteboards we had about travelling,” confessed Shane.

Reflecting on their life together, the 45-year-old does have some regrets about saying farewell to Elizabeth. Hurley isn’t hard to remember with love, he added.

“We hit it off straightaway. Fell in love, got engaged,” recalled Shane. “We giggled. We had a laugh. We got each other.”

Just turned 50, Elizabeth has big dreams for her future that don’t necessarily involve renewing her romance with Shane, reported E! News.

“Wonderful day with my oldest friends and family chez moi. All hail my fabulous cake xxx,” posted Hurley on social media.

And she looks forward to change.

“I’m expecting more of the same and then some. I love my life, I love change and I love new experiences,” declared Elizabeth. “Saying yes is so liberating; it’s my favorite word.”

In addition to Shane, Hurley famously dated actor Hugh Grant, as the Inquisitr reported.

And although Hugh and Elizabeth broke up after 12 years, Grant contends that although their intimacy ended, their friendship remains.

“It did [work out],” mused Hugh. “She’s still my best friend. The sex bit probably fizzled out, but now she’s my absolute best friend. [She’s] the number one person I call in a crisis.”
