Oliver Hudson Slams His Dad With Father’s Day Instagram Pic
Actor Oliver Hudson did not add his name to the extensive list of celebrities that used social media to celebrate Father’s Day on Sunday.
On the contrary, the 38-year-old actor actually slammed his father with an Instagram photo. Hudson apparently wished his biological father a “Happy Abandonment Day.”
The throwback picture posted with the brief caption was a childhood photo of Oliver and his sister, Kate Hudson, with their father, Bill Hudson.
Even though Bill Hudson is the biological father of Oliver and Kate Hudson, they both have admitted in the past that they view their mother’s longtime partner, Kurt Russell, as their father instead.
In a past interview with Vanity Fair, Kate Hudson made it clear how she felt about Kurt Russell.
“Kurt is my dad. Kurt is a savior who came into my life. [Bill] was sort of in and out of our lives. I don’t hate him for it. I guess what I feel is frustration and curiosity — like, what was it about me he didn’t want to know?”
To honor Kurt’s 64th birthday back in March, Oliver Hudson posted a touching tribute to the Furious 7 actor that was filled with heartfelt expressions — a penis reference.
“Happy birthday to the greatest dad in Santa Monica.. I love you more than you realize.. Before you came into my life, I was only potential and you made me, forced me, to find my confidence, my independence and strive for the elusive fearlessness that you so matter of factly possess.. I look up to you and always will.. And when I told you I had a small penis, your answer was moving.. ‘It’s okay son, there’s a snake in all of us.’ Happy Birthday PA!”
Oliver Hudson was apparently not the only person that recently expressed the unpleasant side of Father’s Day on Twitter.

Actress Goldie Hawn and musician Bill Hudson finalized their divorce in 1980 after nearly four years of marriage. After being reintroduced on the set of the 1984 film, Swing Shift, Goldie began her longtime relationship with actor Kurt Russell in 1983.
Even though he could not enjoy Father’s Day as a son, chances are that Oliver Hudson enjoyed the holiday as a father himself. Oliver and his wife, Erin Bartlett, have three children together — 7-year-old Wilder, 5-year-old Bodhi, and 1-year-old daughter, Rio Laura.
