Lamar Odom’s Friend, Bobby Heyward, Dies: Odom Loses Second Friend To Drug Overdose?

Lamar Odom’s friend, Bobby Heyward, has died. This marks the second friend Lamar has lost in the past week. Bobby Heyward was only 30-years-old when he passed away from what is being called a drug overdose, Us Weekly reports.

According to the report, Lamar Odom’s friend, Bobby Heyward, died in a very similar way to his other friend, Jamie Sangouthai. Bobby, a producer and writer, died on Saturday, but the L.A. coroner isn’t giving an official cause of death as of yet.

Radar Online reports that Heyward was a native of Malibu and had production credits on shows such as America’s Next Top Model and Sons of Hollywood. His father, Andy Heyward, is also the former CEO of the animation company DIC Entertainment.

Heyward’s final post on his Instagram account was a tribute to his late friend, Jamie Sangouthai, along with a photo of himself with Jamie and Lamar Odom.

“#RIP To my big brother Jamie who always brought light into any room he walked into and laughter as well at all times J you will always be missed. Family for life. #BandOfBrothers.”

Odom is reportedly “beside himself” as he loses yet another friend, who was also close to Lamar’s estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian. Khloe allegedly has been reaching out to Lamar in the wake of his friends’ deaths in hopes of consoling Lamar during this tough time in his life.

Now, fans are worried about Lamar Odom’s state of mind. He’s lost two friends to drugs in one week and it’s widely known that Odom has struggled with substance abuse issues himself. Can his friends, family, and possibly Khloe Kardashian help him realize that if he doesn’t get straight for good, he could be the next to suffer the tragic consequences?

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Lamar was allegedly recently asked to return to Khloe’s reality series Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The former NBA star was reportedly offered $1 million to make some appearances on the series, but allegedly turned it down because the show helped to destroy his marriage and give him a bad reputation.

Meanwhile, with Lamar Odom’s friends Sangouthai and Heyward dying, perhaps it will be a wake up call to Odom and he and Kardashian can not only get him some help from whatever issues his struggles with, but possibly rekindle their relationship, as Lamar has made no secret that he still loves Khloe very much.
