Lily Allen Explosion Update: Singer Recovers From Minor Burns After Accident

Lily Allen was in a gas explosion in her caravan at Glastonbury this weekend. According to the London Evening Standard, the singer posted on her Instagram about the terrifying accident she had while cooking on her gas stove on Saturday.

Lily is performing at the music festival later this week, but she is enjoying some time camping in the area before the festival starts on Wednesday. Her concert is scheduled for Friday, and it is still scheduled at time. Allen has been sharing photos of her time camping in Glastonbury since her arrival.

Because of the accident, Allen suffered from minor burns to her face. Her eyelashes were singed. She shared a selfie that tried to show her eyelashes on Instagram, and she shared the scary ordeal to caption the photo.

“I was in a gas explosion in my caravan today and I have minor burns and [singed] my eyelashes considerably. It was absolutely terrifying and I wouldn’t want anyone to go through anything similar. Please be SO careful using gas stoves at anytime but especially during festival season when ones reaction times may be a little off. Feeling very grateful to be alive. Happy camping.”

Several fans of the singer sent their support and well wishes in the comments to her post. One fan said, “Woah scary! Glad you’re not too badly injured, it could’ve been so much worse. Take care!” Another fan said, “Glad [you’re] ok. I had a similar experience in a caravan when using the hob, a flame just shot up wen trying to turn it up. Must have been a shock.”

This accident comes only days after it was announced that Allen had signed with modeling agency IMG Models. Contact Music shared the statement released by IMG on their website.

This is not Allen’s first step into the fashion world. Earlier this year, she was named the face of Vero Moda, according to Fashion One. She will work with the designer to add her own “individual rock and roll style” to the fashion line.

As fans can see from the photo, she was not seriously injured in the gas explosion, but it was a scary experience for the singer, who is a mother of two. In recent months, her relationship has been a subject talked about in the tabloids.

After the singer moved to Los Angeles in April, split rumors started to pop up. She is married to Sam Cooper, and the couple has two children together. A source said the following about Lily’s decision to move to Los Angeles, while her family remains in England.

“Lily realized LA is where she needs to be for work and decided to make the move at the start of the year. She knew moving would be tough and that Sam would mostly be based in the UK. They haven’t seen much of each other since she moved, and they must have found being apart for so long really difficult. She loves life in LA, but she misses Sam a lot.”

Allen is recording her latest album in Los Angeles, according to the Irish Mirror. However, she is back in England for this concert appearance, and this means she has been seen out with her husband. The two were spotted on a date last weekend, and the appearance helped squash the rumors that the two are headed toward a divorce. In fact, Daily Mail reported that the couple celebrated their four-year anniversary last week too. The couple headed to Paris to mark that occasion. Lily Allen and Sam Cooper married in 2011.

This is not the only scary incident involving a fire and a celebrity in recent weeks. A recent Inquisitr post reported on an incident on stage at Wembley Arena. Michael Clifford from 5 Seconds Of Summer was burned after he walked into a pyrotechnics display.

His hair caught on fire, and he received minor burns to his face. Clifford was quick to let his fans know he was okay by posting on his Instagram. A video shows the moment.

Daily Mail shared photos of the singer out in King’s Cross with one of her daughters. She was dressed down for the outing, and she appeared to be in good shape. The scary experience with the gas stove left her with minor injuries, but it taught her a lesson that she passed on to others.
