Hillary Clinton Sends Her Own ‘Texts From Hillary’

Hillary Clinton has been the subject of a recent internet meme, and now the Secretary of State is getting in on the joke.

The Associated Press reports that Clinton invited the creators of the “Texts from Hillary” Tumblr to the State Department on Tuesday. Apparently, Clinton had a good time with Adam Smith and Stacy Lambe and even created her own “Texts From Hillary.”

The site is only a week old but it has already become a sensation. The site uses a photograph of Hillary Clinton on her Blackberry and adds the imaginary text messages that she is sending to people like Bill Clinton, President Obama, and Vice President Joe Biden.

Smith, who created the site, told Politico:

“It was great. She came out, she was all smiles, told us how much she likes the site and that people have been telling her all about it… She just thinks it’s great.”

Smith said that the photograph of Hillary, which was taken by Time photographer Diana Walker, captures the essence of Hillary. Smith said

“Her willingness to engage with us on the website proves our whole point in making it — that that picture was really great… I’m not that eloquent right now because I’m still in shock! It just captured this wonderful image of Hillary… You definitely could tell she was in charge. You could tell she was getting stuff done there was just no question that this woman was a total badass.”
